Bead BuddyDesign to Go Bead Board

I've been making jewelry for about 30 years, and I've gone through just about every bead board out there. The ones you can usually find at craft stores are fine, and I usually get about 2 years of use out of them before they're cracked beyond repair. I bought my first Design to Go board about six years ago, and it has been to dozens of craft shows and traveled multiple times in a suitcase. Last summer one of the edged started cracking, and the lid wasn't fitting as tightly any more; it didn't come off, and I certainly didn't lose any beads, but they no longer stayed in the channels and any small pieces of wire would collect on the outside edge and fall out when I removed the lid. I was delighted to discover not only was the board still available, but its price had increased less than a dollar. Now I leave the old one at home to use there where it rarely leaves a flat surface, and travel with the new one. I assume it'll be at least another six years before I need one again.

I bought this for my sister in-law who has recently started making plus sized jewelry. She loves that it has a lid so if she takes a break there is no risk of spilling the design out. It is however very thin and cheap plastic so I'm sure she will eventually buy another due to this one breaking at some point down the road.

I really love this bead board. The only complaint is that anything other than beads will end up every where inside the bead board if it is turned over.

Bead boards are a great designing tool for jewelry making. This one has a cover to help keep the beads in place if you have to leave it before you are finished

I give this 3 stars not because of the quality, but because of the color of the product. When making Bracelets the tan color is more like a skin tone, and give a better idea of how the jewelry will look against natural skin. I will keep this even though it's grey in color. : (

Love this board. Especially for pearl and mala knotting. At the end of the day you can put the clear lid on and you don't loose your spot and the beads stay in place.

A little overpriced, but it keeps everything in it's place until next time!
