I bought this specifically for web design prototype sketching as it looked perfect for the job with the grid layout. My big mistake was judging the purchase by the title 'large' and not by the product dimensions listed in the technical area. I am not familiar with the sizing of Moleskine products, so was in for a surprise when this arrived. It is A5 size, something I do not consider to be large. I needed something closer to A4 size and kind of expected that from the title 'large'. So, it is not any help to me for sketching a complete webpage, but I can use it for sketching out different elements, so the purchase is by no means a total loss.Sizing aside, this is a lovely 'little' notebook. The reason I chose this particular notebook out of the range available, was this looked teal and it is the colour of my own website. (And my favourite colour!) The book is definitely teal and looks lovely. The cover feels pleasingly comfortable to hold; it is soft to the touch and almost like a soft leather. I am very impressed! I understand now why Moleskine products are so expensive. They ooze quality.The grid layout is perfect; dark enough to be visible but not dark enough to be intrusive. The paper, however, is a bit of a let-down, it is soooo thin! I am sketching in pencil, mostly a B which is reasonably soft and I am using light pressure, but I can see the outlines on the other side of the page. I am writing with a Derwent Precision HB refillable pencil and I can clearly see the writing through the other side of the page. I am finding that distracting for me when trying to create something fresh and new when I can see images on my fresh page. To avoid this I am having to draw on one side only which is a waste of paper and will use the book up quickly.So, this is a mixed review. I got something that was much smaller than expected with thinner paper than I would have credited a Moleskine for but I got a lovely notebook with a special kind of feel to it and in a beautiful colour. Despite the size and very thin paper, I do like this, so it earns four stars.

What a horrid A5 notepad, with thin paper that bleeds when writing with fountain ink pens. The paper is awful and the price, £14!Better off with the jotter pads, and other similar notebooks.As for the size, give me full scape, at least you can rest your hand while writing on the pad and then on the table. These little things... ache the arms and hands.

Once you buy a Moleskine notebook, you never want to write in any other. The paper quality is absolutely amazing; I love the soft cover and it's a joy to use until the very last page.The only downside is that they have gone up in price on amazon since the new year bringing them to around 20 pounds which is a bit much considering only last year for the same sized notebook I paid 13-14.Hopefully this will change soon!

I always buy these note books because the quality is usually much better than other brands, however will not be purchasing from Amazon again as arrives bent at corner- not as sturdy as initially thought.

I ordered this because I adore the A5 soft backed diary which I order every year and wouldn't be without. I couldn't resist this notebook therefore and, although I'm still not sure what I'll use it for, it's of the same good quality and would have many uses. Not sure how one would evaluate 'sturdiness' but the diary crrtainly lasts all year without any deterioration.
