Best small flashlight around
Just a push of a button. Love it. Just one battery. It's small enough to use as a nightlight for reading and still bright enough.

Its not really that bright and is not that small. Also you can turn it on by turning the top

Package had been tampered with & parts, directions all missing. :-/
I was at first quite puzzled when I opened the small bubble envelope while being so pleased having it arrive so quickly. There were absolutely no directions and no 800 number to call. It came with a small packet of 8 tiny batteries but no photo of written description as to how these were to be inserted &/or used to make the flashlight work. There was a small, atucally tiny white button one the side which appeared to be the "on/off" switch. When I gently pushed it to the opposite side, it immediately popped out and could not be reinserted since it was so tiny. I BELIEVE this package was tampered with before it left Amazon warehouse to be mailed out to me. I've never run into such a bizarre situation before. IT DOES NOT LOOK LIKE IT IS SHOWN IN THE PHOTO. If it hadn't been opened previously and tampered with, it seems it would have been a nice product. To open was far too simple. The thin plastic sides of the cardboard case were thin and flimsey so the cardboard with photo just slid out way too easily. Was made in China which I believe had NOTHING TO DO WITH THE MISSING PARTS OR LACK OF DIRECTIONS! I would advise against purchasing this Dorcy 46-4001 Water Resistant Keychain LED Flashlight. Very frustrating & disappointing. :-/

novel but poor quality
Keychain light worked great for over a year. Then it just stopped working. I replaced the batteries - nope. Replaced the bulb using the spare - no luck. I suspect it's just junk. Flashlights in my opinion should be reliable first, cool-looking second. This fails to meet the quality test. Avoid buying.

Dim Light
Maybe I got a defective flashlight but I never got an adequate light from this flashlight. I accidentally pulled the bulb out(trying to see what was wrong with it)and after I pushed it back in got illumination that was a little brighter, but it didn't last. When I turned it off and turned it on again it was too dim to be of much use(except for very close up,like for putting a key in a keyhole with the light right next to it). There might be some issue with the spring not pushing the battery up far enough to meet the two copper wires of the LED bulb. I did get decent light out of it but never consistently and only after I fiddled around with it. I tried all of the illumination adjustments(turning the bulb/lens part of the flashlight body changes the focus and concentration or intensity of the light beam)but never got a light that was adequate(like for walking through a dark room or house). Maybe I got one that was defective. It was a good flashlight when the illumination was adequate and I kept it on my key chain(after putting another flashlight on with it),it came off recently and I was pretty sure when and where it came off,in a store where I knew I set my keys down for a minute or two,and I didn't bother going back for it. I have a flashlight that I would go back for if I lost it and thought I could find it again,in fact the problem with that one is that it occasionally comes off of my key chain, which is why I wanted to get a different flashlight. Maybe other people have had better luck than I have with this flashlight than I have. I would have given it one star except I thought there is the possibility I got a defective flashlight. If it worked consistently the way it did after I got it to work when I fiddled around with it,it would get four or five stars from me. But,it was dim when I got it and even a new battery didn't change that. If I'd recommend this I'd say to try it with the possible reality of returning it in mind. Also, the fact that it came off because with regular use of my keys it became unscrewed(the key chain and bottom of the flashlight was still on my key ring)I would say there is an issue with that, also. But I think one or two layers of Teflon tape wrapped around the threads would prevent that from happening. It did unscrew part-way and I'd tighten it back up,but I don't think it ever completely came apart. It would be a good flashlight and maybe I did just get one that had a defect. If I'd have thought of using the Teflon tape before just now,I would have put some on. But as it was,it was the second flashlight on my key ring, for those times when the battery on the one I consistently use goes dead.

Don't waste your money
It was nice and bright the one time it worked, which was when I first put in the battery. After that it wouldn't turn on.

Cheap
I bought this as a gift for a older friend who needs just a bit of light when shes out and about in the dark.-The light is dim.-The chain broke after 3days of Min. usage.-Cheaply made and poor quality.

Stay away!
If possible I would have given this product less than the minimum 1 star. Awful. I ordered two of these as stocking stuffers for my two boys. One light didn't work out of the package. Amazon issued a refund and I ordered a replacement. the second light was broken before the first replacement arrived. Batteries were not the issue. One had switch issues, the other was a bad LED that would just flicker and the replacement already has a bad switch. That's 0 for 3. I contacted Dorcy directly and after a few days got a response that because I'm not living in the USA they wouldn't ship or receive anything from me. Amazon issued another return and all is well. I realize these are cheap lights and not to expect much but this was ridiculous. If they're such garbage just don't sell them at all. The worst part was taking the broken flashlights from my boys that Santa brought for them. I'll never buy another Dorcy product again.
