So useful, wish i had got one years ago!

It is a beautiful wood, but the edges are not sanded down. The spiral that feeds the yarn is very rough and the yarn is constantly catching on it and fraying. I removed stars because I have to smooth it all out.

I bought this to give as a gift to a friend who loves knitting. Not only was it a big hit, but she’s told me several times since I gave it to her that it is one of the most beautiful yarn holders she’s ever seen and that she absolutely loves it.If you’re looking for the perfect gift for an avid knitter, look no further, this is it!

The wood this yarn bowl was made out of seemed to be pretty solid and sturdy, but I was very disappointed to receive it with a crack between the two pieces that make up this bowl. Previous bowls I have ordered from other places have been made of one solid piece of wood, this is made of two. That wouldn’t be an issue if it hadn’t split. Also, the inside of the spiral part that holds the yarn was very rough. I didn’t have time to send it back and get a new one, so I had to sand down the inside of the spiral and fill in the cracked part so that the yarn wouldn’t catch. Kind of disappointing for what should have been a decent product.

Was going to gift this. I’m glad I opened it to look at. The slit the yarn is supposed to go through is rough, so yarn snags.What put me off most of all, was the crack that was filled with wood filler and not sanded or buffed… I would totally accept a well fixed flaw, but this is awful.
