The Learning Journey Techno Gears Marble Mania Vortex 2.0 (300+ pcs)

This takes a good bit of time to put together... Then once we were finished the balls would get stuck or fall off so I had to go back and try and adjust and move things to make it work right... For the most part we got it working well... Not perfectly but good enough that my kids enjoyed it for the entire 10 min it was played with.

This was an Xmas gift for my 5 year old who loves marble runs. Runs well as constructed using the instructions. i agree with reviews on difficulties in instructions, components for construction being easy to break and difficult and time to assemble. Must be organized with piece sizes and took about 3 hrs to assemble. Launch motor is not working properly but company is sending a replacement as the marbles kickback instead of launching up the tube despite new batteries etc. Battery compartment is difficult to access once assembled but doable if your kids are not around to allow concentration. Cannot assemble with kids as I almost went nuts trying to reconstruct it when my kids partially disassembled it. Kids love it but it is a limited run. Ok for cost but will probably get a modular system that can be customized when my 5 yo is a bit old. In closing I hope the current system doesn't fall apart because I am not rebuilding it again.

My grandson, age 10, loved this marble game. He has it set up in his bedroom and plays it often. It took a little work for his dad and him to put it together, but it was a great problem-solving project.

Bought this for the kids. It took several hours to put together and when assembled was very flimsy. I would not recommend.

Very cool toy. Can be a bit noisy, but grandson loves it

What a waste of money! It came with broken pieces, and even once fixed, it was so boring that my daughter only used it once. There is no opportunity for creativity or learning.

I bought this as a gift for my great nephew. he LOVED it! I put it together myself and didn't have trouble at all. i'd definitely buy this for a gift again

Santa brought this Vortex Marble Mania to my 9 year old daughter per request. I am so disappointed in this product, as is she.1) Directions are quite difficult to follow. My 9 year old, and my Lego-crazy 12 year old gave up. I persisted since I spent $50 on it (er, Santa did.)2) Pieces are HARD to put together, and harder to take apart when you do it wrong.3) We were looking for something that could be built different ways for creativity. This is not the toy. Basically one way to do it.4) Only 2 gears turn via marbles and those get stuck. Perhaps it's my building skill, but they don't work and marbles start shooting out everywhere.5) It's not nearly as glow-in-the-dark as the pictures made it seem. Only a couple of ramps really glow on ours.Overall, I would definitely NOT RECOMMEND this toy for anyone. It wasn't fun to build and it wasn't fun to play with once built. I expected more for $50.
