More than a bargain
This is a good case for Asus transformer prime and the best of all are look and value. I have the prime since Dec 20 and one of the reason I decided to go with the prime is that it looks good. Especially, the champing gold, to me it doesn't look yellowish gold but metallic white. The primary reasons are not the look but when you have a good looking flashy tablet, you want to show off in public, not hide it. I was planning on getting the official sleeve but after reading all the reviews from numerous sites, I decided that it is not worth to spend $40 on a cover that can damage the $500 tablet. Especially, it is not easy to get a replacement till Jan 16.I wasn't planning on getting a cover because I am going to get a dock when it available in Amazon in matching color. But after using the tablet for a week, I realized that it needs some sort of protection on it owns so I decided to get this one.I choose this Poetic(TM) StandBook because it doesn't fully cover the tablet, like I said, I don't want to hide the table, and I choose something cheap till more of TF201 accessories come out and we have more choice for it. I never like the leather as a case but I decided to try this case because this seem like a great bargain for 14.95 with free shipping.First of all, it ships from San Francisco on January 9, a day after I bought the item, and it arrived to DC metropolitan area in Jan 13. It took 4 days from West to East coast for free shipping. It is fast considering that I paid less than $15 total. The case feels really solid and it doesn't feel cheap at all. It doesn't cover sides as other but it has three tabs on each side for holding the tablet. The tabs are difficult to insert but it did hold the tablet quite well and I only need to take off the one in the bottom often to use as a stand so that was major disappointment but I can live with that. As shown in the picture I uploaded, the speaker grill has holes so that's a plus. All the ports are uncovered and you can even see the tablet from distance.I have been using the case for about 3 days now and I really like the way it felt. The tablet stand provide stability on the lap only if you flip it reverse. In that way, you won't be using those three stripe but it stays in its position as I edited a excel doc, write email and surf the net.Since I had to flip the cover and use as the stand, the tablet was upside down, that is not a major problem for most tasks such as browsing, Netflix, Facebook, etc but when I play certain game, I had to turn it back and on the game that require two fingers input the last stripe would slip and the tablet would lay flat. It causes me to lose point. There are some cons with the case but for less than $15, this is a great buy,my JOT stylus costs more than this case. And the tablet is so slim that it fits right in a dedicated carrying bag.

Thin, light and well made
When looking for a case to protect my Asus Prime, I wanted something made of leather, thin and light (the Prime is so thin, it would be a shame to bulk it up with a thick case), well made, unique and professional looking. This case almost hit all the marks (the only exception is it is not real leather).Pros:1. Thin, light and fairly rugged.2. Form fitting and well made.3. All ports are accessible while the case is in use.4. Look and feel of leather, with a professional look.5. 3 position stand grooves built into the cover allows 3 viewing angles as a stand.Cons:1. Not real leather. I expect the black surface will wear off in areas and become cheap looking.2. Clasp is sometimes very difficult to open. But seems to be "loosening up" over time.Overall, for the price, it is a great value. I expect over time, the fake leather will degrade and start to come apart. Real leather would get that nice worn look, but I expect this will just become cheap looking. But after about a month or so of use, it still looks nice and is holding up well.

I received the item, When the product arrived, I opened the mail cover i see a ziplock bag and the product is in the ziplock bag. My first impression is you guys have sent me a used one. or some thing is not right. Then opened the Leather folder to put my tablet, , I see some markings on one side that shows it was used one. It did not feel right, i paid price for a new one, got a used one. I decided to return the productWhen i went to the sellers page on the Amazon, there is no information on how to return the product, but it talks about what they are going to charge in case if people return the products. 20% restocking fee, + postage and mailing fee etc...I want to return the product. There is no easy way to return the products to this seller. This is an another issue, there is no link for returning the product it took me days to finally find a way to write a email to them. I am really disappointed with the way the product has arrived and packaging etc. I would think twice before buying a product from this seller.I will update this post with my experience with this seller. An update from on my previous postI had to open the Amazon claim, amazon contacted the seller and got the refund from the seller for me. Thanks to amazon team on this. This has increase my confidence on amazon and "buying the goods from amazon".

bad design
if you want to use this as just a book like where you just open the cover then it's ok. to use it as a stand you have to pry the tablet out of the prongs on the bottom each time. it fits so snuggly in there that it's a pain to have to pry it out every time you want to use the stand. the bottom prongs are unnecessary and i would spend a bit more and get one that has the swivel feature.

Decent for the price
I bought this particular case for two reasons. I like having most of the tablet face uncovered as most cases for the Transformers have you slide it in a case and it covers the outer edge on the face of the tablet about half an inch. The second reason was having three slots vs two to view it.My biggest complaint is how it closes. The "hook" clasp is hard to get on the Transformer and I can tell its going to wear out in time. I love my Ipad case because its magnetic so maybe I am spoiled by that feature. The case itself will provide adequate protection when closed, provides access to all ports, and is decently thin.
