Q: What is the difference between this one and Lily Of The Desert Aloe Vera Juice Whole Leaf ? Is it just the amount of ounces ?

The answer somebody else posted on the whole leaf including the natural laxative portion of the leaf is correct. (They also mention how poor the other answers are, they weren't kidding!) Whole leaf = mild natural laxative. Inner fillet = no natural laxative. I have taken both whole leaf and inner fillet only (both Lily of the Desert brand), and I didn't really notice any difference. Whole leaf is less of a laxative than coconut milk is even, which is not very. If the whole leaf is a dollar cheaper, I'd buy it every time.

Q: Would this be good to add to a smoothie for health purposes? If so, how much for a 16 oz smoothie?

Yes it would be. I add about 1/4 cup,to my smoothies. ,it's almost tasteless. its a natural anti inflammatory. I love it. I think it really helps my joints.

Q: Does this product contain aloin?

Teresa- This product uses only the inner fillet of the Aloe plant and I highly doubt it has Aloin in it since that is found on the outer leaves. Also- Aloin has been banned from commercial Aloe products for consumption for some time. In May 2002, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a ruling that aloin laxatives are no longer ‘generally recognized as safe’ and effective, meaning that aloin-containing products are no longer available in over-the-counter drug products in the United States. I used this Aloe Vera Juice because it’s organic and higher quality than some I found. Hope this helps.

Yes it does. But if you mix it in with another beverage say like lemonade for instance you can't taste it. You can only taste it if you drink it by itself .
