I perform live for 2 to 3 hours (about 50 songs). Is there a way to have this device learn each song and store each song on another device?

This device does not save anything. One song at at time. When you shut it off, your work is gone.

Can I use this for simple beats on ly like the beat body?

No, this is not like beat buddy, you first give it a chord progression and it creates bass and drums for that.

Can it play everything through an amp, or is an additional speaker needed? I see the different outputs, amp versus mixer, but it's not clear.

I play through my AMP. (But it does crowded in one speaker)

Is there a limit as to how many chords per song it can learn?

Not sure, I never ran out, but I always download it to a Jam man, you can create songs that way.
