Callaway HX Hot Bite Golf Balls (12-Pack)

These balls are said to be really good, I had gotten them as a gift for my boyfriend. he said they are too good. he's afraid to use them. he said when he gets better he will use them, or when he's close to the hole. He said he'd die if he lost any. I guess they made a impact. he loves them. Makes a great gift.

Spins nicely off the wedge and stops on the green. Good distance off the tee. However, one round and they are done. I can play a prov1x for 4-5 rounds (assuming I don't put one in the water) without cutting or severe scratching. These are just too soft on the cover and we'll struck wedges mean deep scratches that affect ball flight. Going back to the Gamer in this price range.

the balls i got were alright , they definatly were not all AAAA, some were AAA and i cant use them in game play

Of course this was just a stocking stuffer for X-Mas. Had good reviews so I bought it. Were just what my husband wanted. Yay me!

I am an 18 handicap. I've tried almost every ball on the market. This is as good as any of them from my perspective including balls that cost twice as much.

Decent ball for the price. Has soft feel and seems to stop well enough on hard, fast greens. Would buy again.

I think this ball is brilliant for the price. I'm a mid 20's handicapper, and the first shot I hit cleanly with my pitching wedge from about 150yards hit the green (which I'm always pleased with anyway) and spun back about 15 feet, I was in shock! But a nice three put bogey got my attention back. The cover of the ball is not the most durable on the market, but that is what you compromise for soft feel, and spin around the green. If you struggle keeping the ball under control off the tee (hooks and slices etc.) then I have always been told soft balls are not advisable, but if that's not as much of a problem these have good stable flight, and a pretty good distance to them.

These are pretty good value in terms of a mid-range ball. They attempt to bridge the gap between low-spin, hard and cheap balls and the high spin, soft feel expensive ranges such as the Ix or V1.This means a feel on the softer side and a cover material and design that encourages spin.I play off single figures and therefore am able to hit the ball competently - as such, these are great as my 'all purpose' ball - I do still go up to a premier ball at times though - why?The main reason is resilience - the cover on this ball scuffs up badly - especially off wedges or short irons - and the spin generated doesn't seem to do justice to the amount of cover shaved off the ball.So - they are certainly worth the price and a great compromise over the bottom of the range balls, however not in the same league as a premier ball.Similar balls are the NXT or TaylorMade Burner.
