A multi-terrain tactical boot for unsurpassed comfort and protection even under a heavy load and in demanding field conditions across varied terrain from mud-soaked trails to arid desert sands, steep slopes and sheer rock face. The Garmont Tactical T8 boot features a Vibram sole for maximum traction, stability and shock reduction in nearly all environments or surfaces. The durable upper construction offers excellent breathability and ventilation and the quick drying materials are suitable to an amphibious environment or extremely wet climate. The zero optical refraction hardware and ball bearing hardware at the instep perform flawlessly in all operating environments be it ground or airborne.

So far, really good!
So, this isn’t going to be a very in-depth review as I’ve just gotten these boots last week. My first impression straight outta the box. You can tell right away that this isn’t your average boot. They are very well made, and have no visible imperfections. I’ve already come to the conclusion that these are one of the most comfortable boots I’ve ever worn. I purchased a 9W, and have no ankle slip at all. I’ll update this review in a few weeks after I’ve had some time to really put these to work, but for $99, and a little research on the Bifida, I doubt I could have made a better choice. Stoked to see how these perform at the range, and on the trail, and how much more comfortable they’ll be after I’ve put them through some hell.

Best buy!
Bought the shoes for my husband. We are camp host and he spends his time outside doing maintenance and yardwork. The FIRST day he wore the boots...he kept commenting how comfortable the shoes were and his feet didn't hurt. He loves them. Great traction and ankle support.

Perfect for the outdoorsman
Although the Army is changing its boot soon, I'd recommend these forever! I don't use them just for my duties, but also my treks into the wild. Step into a knee deep body of water and your pant leg will be more wet than these as you keep walking for maybe ten minutes. They dry very quickly too, so long as you pull out the insoles. I broke mine in quick with some sloshing my way through a swamp with my dogs and then letting them dry for about a day and a half.

Best Boot on the Market
I will not buy another boot anytime soon. I bought my first pair during the 8hr pass following Darby phase prior to the mountains phase in Ranger School. They required no break in period then lasted through the duration of Ranger School, multiple field training exercises over the next, multiple jumps then a 9 month deployment to Konar Providence Afghanistan before I finally retired my first pair. I have recommended Garmont T8s to multiple people who now share the same sentiment for these boots. My recent purchase was 5 plus years later and my third pair.

20150107 So far so good at the 3 month mark
20150107So far so good at the 3 month mark. I use them for ROTC probably 3-4 times a week. The resistance is not what I expected and after getting rained on during an ftx it seems not to be as hydrophobic as they were when I bought them. The heel is showing signs of coming off. But weight is excellent and overall I would buy them again.

It's a nice boot. It's stiff and durable
It's a nice boot. It's stiff and durable. It's complicated to lace well, day after day, in any sort of quick time period. So I dunno, 4 stars.
