The media could not be loaded.  I was happy to find this new coloring book series of fun sayings and cute wild-haired women by Sue Toronto. This is one of four to-go size books (8.25 x 5.25 inches) that are being released. In this book, the sayings are all about inspiration – encouraging you to do more and reach further. I like that the books are being separated by subject. That way, I can pick up just the one that I need that particular day. There are lots of coloring elements on each page and room to doodle (if you so choose.)The book fits well in my handbag or tote for on-the-go coloring. I can either take the whole book or simply remove a page to take with me.I did notice that there were three duplicate designs between this book and the Friendship book (Plan B, Rise by Lifting Others, and When You Stumble.) Not an issue for me as I will simply give my duplicates away but I wanted to be sure to note this. I don't know if it was intentional or not.For my first project in this coloring book, I chose a saying that I could understand – there are no end of silly things I can do when I'm not working on what I am supposed to be doing! I used alcohol-based markers and Tombows. As usual with their books, this book includes examples of colored artwork. It also includes tips from this artist about color wheels. She also discusses how she starts with yellow as a base coat on all of her artwork.The designs in this smaller to-go format book are printed on one side of the perforated medium weight page. On the backside of each page is the title of the design, a cute little saying (presumably written by Sue Toronto) and several blank lines on which you can journal or simply note information about your project.The binding is glued but you will want to remove pages at the perforations. The designs stop before the perforations so you will not lose any portion of the design if you remove it from the book. I was easily able to get the book to lay flat for coloring.I will list the coloring medium I used to test this book in the comments area of the review. Here are what my various tests discovered:Alcohol and water-based markers as well as India ink pens bleed through the paper. Gel pens do not but need a little extra drying time. Coloring pencils work well with this paper. I was able to easily blend my soft lead pencils. My hard lead pencils left dents on the back of the page.I recommend using a blotter page below the page you are working on to keep ink or dents from marring the design on the next page. I cut down a piece of card stock to fit in the book and I leave it so it is always at hand. You can also simply remove the page from the book before you color your project.

The Inspiration coloring book by Suzy Toronto is one in a set of 4 books. I purchased the smaller size coloring book, but they do have an 8 X 11 size book. The paper quality is excellent and the pictures are funny, sweet and appropriate. I like the smaller size coloring book because there is less white background to color. The pictures are the same as the 8 X 11 coloring books, but you don't waste as much markers, pens or pencils filling in the background. I purchased all for of the small coloring book set.

I am so excited to start coloring in my new coloring book!! The pictures in this little book are just delightful. I love that there is room to write a few thoughts and feelings down also. It gives you an opportunity to really put some thought into your stress-relieving project. Each picture is so uplifting and encouraging. The price is perfect to make this book a great gift idea for a friend that is going through a tough time, also. I highly recommend this book for anyone needing a little encouragement on a rainy day.

This coloring book was just "okay" to me. I was disappointed to discover that the detail shown on the cover for the top and bottom borders is not how the pages really are. Instead, the borders are blank inside with nothing to color but empty space. I know the author of this book is known for her characters, however I would prefer if there wasn't one on almost every single page to color. This is just my preference in coloring though, if you're a fan of the author's characters then you will probably enjoy it more than I did.

Cute but smaller than I thought. Book is harder to work with because of it’s size.

I would like this more if it were larger. I didn't realize it is a small book.

I love her art and her writing. She has a humerous way, but she's very serious as well. All my friends who have borrowed the book have loved it and ask for more...chocolate!

Suzy has the most adorable characters and this coloring book is just one more example of that. Fun little book to take in your purse for busy waiting rooms.

Very cute coloring book, but I found it a bit small. It's just a bit bigger than a paperback and only has about 15 coloring pages. For the price though - it's a great deal. I would not use markers though as the ink will seep through.

love the book, however, it had some sticky stuff on it, back, front and on the edge of the pages. because it was shipped together with the second book, they stuck together and slightly damaged both books. They were to be a "thinking of you" gift for 2 of my sisters. Not really worth returning, so I'll probably just purchase again and hope for the best.
