I love this paddle. This is the third paddle that I have bought since starting to play pickleball four years ago. This paddle is terrific when playing at the net. I feel that I can get to balls and control my hits better since buying this Vulcan. I have told all of my PB friends about the Vulcan V540 and now most of my friends are playing with the same paddle. The joke on the courts is that I should be a Vulcan rep because I have promoted the paddle to everyone that asks me what I like about my paddle.

Love this paddle, it gives a great balance between power and spin/control. Maybe a bit thick for a cover but I don’t use one so I don’t care.

Good all round paddle.

I've played with this paddle a couple of dozen times (once a week for 8 months). The surface originally had a slight grit which helped me to add spin. This has worn off. I spoke to the manufacturer who explained that the paddle is 2+ year old technology. Although their website describes it as "carbon fiber V-Skin surface", there is no carbon fiber on the surface. They don't consider this a textured paddle at all, and only suggested I consider a more expensive model. As for the paddle itself, I loved it for the first few months until I started to notice I couldn't add as much topspin on my drives. I don't recommend this paddle if you use spin.

Love this paddle. It's mid weight to help with my control and help prevent tennis elbow. Love love the color! Its not a huge paddle so it doesn't get caught in the wind.
