Better than therapy
After a lifetime of sticking my hands together with silicone sealant gunge, which seemingly holds the entire fabric of society together these days, and getting it everywhere I don't wan't it (word to the wise, make sure you empty your bladder before using silicone sealant because if you need to go when you're using it, it's a BIG problem!) I found this gadget. My very rational condition (hereinafter entitled silicomania) has now been successfully treated, I no longer wake in the night screaming at nightmares of white, sticky, blobby figures, chasing me round a ginormous bath.Once you have figured out what shape you want your line of silicone to be, this finishes it well and takes all the silicone off the surrounding wall and item you are sealing. Wipe the residue off the tool with kitchen roll and you can continue. Doing the length of a bath is no problem as you can stop if the residue build up is too much, wipe it off, and seamlessly continue. You can even stop to use the loo without having the evidence sticking to your trousers, zip, belt, and unmentionable.

Nice try but just doesn't last like the competition
I bought two of these to replace my favourite profile from my Fugi kit. They are pretty much identical but for one salient defect. The silicone just isn't strong enough. These things are a delight to use but I'm caulking some architraves and after three doors these things have developed significant scoring on the edges from running along the profiles. They'll not last much longer. My Fugi profile has lasted twenty times as long, it's just too covered in old caulk now.Quick tip: After EVERY pass remove EVERY last scrap of silicon/caulk or whatever. It will build up very quickly otherwise.

Good For The Novice
I don't know what I was expecting really, when I use my finger over silicone I get a good result, when I use one of these I get a slightly better result although I found it made the bead rather thick and large. I wouldn't fancy using one around a tiled sink or bath, I'd imagine it would be problematic dragging it against tiles and grout. If you have never siliconed anything in before then this might be handy for you, if you're competent and hsppy with results you get when using a wet finger you're not going to see a vast improvemt with this, yes it works, it's cheap enough to buy and try without leaving you feel like you have wasted money if you never use it again.

Another one off the bucket list haha
To be honest after reading reviews I’m not very impressed with this, I don’t know what I was expecting but it wasn’t as good as I thought it would be.No my silicone skills are not the best but they are also not the worst, I found this to be awkward to use and it’s by far leaves more mess than using your finger. Can’t beat the old lick of the finger with an old rag to wipe it,Waste of money but I’m glad I’ve tried it now!!

Too big!
I have no idea how this has so many good reviews. The angles are enormous. I can literally let my little finger between the wall and the curved edge of this tool. Who the hell wants 3cm strips of sealant?
