I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS for Sennheiser HD650. Better than the stock cable in many aspects!!
I'd got mine yesterday..It seemed to be well-made and it felt not so rigid for me. I've used it for about 4 hours and found nothing uncomfortable.I bought a pair of Sennheiser HD650 two weeks ago and I'm hearing with them more than 15 hours until now.I also bought 3 additional replacement cables with different materials used as the conductor, i.e. a silver-plated copper cable (sold at Amazon and e-Bay) / a pure silver cable (this Geekria cable) / a PCOCC-A cable (OYAIDE cable from Amazon). I ordered them because they had all different compositions. Now I'm going to give suggestions about my experiences.1) The Sennheiser HD650 stock cable People say that the HD650 has typical Sennheiser's veil. When I first listened with HD650 and its stock cable, I felt the sound is quite soft, mellow. The bass was plentiful while the highs are slightly attenuated, making the sound as if it was coming from a distance or as if there was a screen between the sound source and the listener. Anyway the bass was gorgeous, enjoyable and the highs were clear although seemed slightly weak. When I hear a violin concert I felt as if I was sitting at the back rows. Personally I think the stock cable produced good sound, with nice details and balance. Although it is related with slightly laid-back sound, the voluminous bass and good detail on mids and highs gave me a good impression. I felt so after I returned to the stock cable after trying the silver-plated cable.2) A silver-plated copper(OFC) cable ( http://www.amazon.com/Silver-upgrade-Sennheiser-headphones-headsets/dp/B00JC1R42K/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1425579058&sr=8-1&keywords=hd650+silver+cable ) It was my first replacement cable, made in China. Because this item does not ship to my location, I had to order it from eBay. I confirmed they were the same products by asking to the seller. When I replaced the stock cable with this, I first noticed the highs are slightly augmented. When I listened to a violin concert with this, I felt as if the sound of solo violin came from a bit closer than the stock cable while the orchestra stayed still at the distance. Slightly less laid-back sound than the stock cable. But, sometimes the high tones of violin sounded as if it was coming from my head with slightly metallic timbre. It was as if the highs came nearer from the listener while the deep lows emaciated to a perceivable level. There was confusion in positions of instruments and loss of timbre of certain instruments as well. The forth-coming highs from violin with metallic timbre interfered extended listening. Another most impressive change was the attenuation of deep bass. The low strings and and brass winds lost their energy. And there was large loss in the timbre of those instruments including the percussion.3) A pure silver cable (this Geekria cable) I've received mine yesterday and listened with it for about 5 hours untill now. Today I made a comparative listening with the stock cable and the silver-plated cable. I concluded it is definitely the best cable out of the tree. It gave me a balance to a totally new level over the whole frequencies and definitely perceivable changes in many aspects. When I listened to the violin concertos of Tchaikovsky and Sibelius, I found the orchestral sound became more fuller and the instruments had more accurate timbre. I could easily differentiate the instruments and locate them. Almost every instruments from the orchestra showed more accurate timbre and there was better definition between the instruments. The low strings, brass winds sounded clearer and more accurate while the violins did not have much metallic timbre. The piano accompaniment on a violin sonata sounded definitely clearer and enjoyable. The lean sound from piano accompaniment heard with the stock cable turned into more fuller and lovable one. The high tones from violin did not intrude into the listener's head. All the instruments were located where it should be and there was no confusion in their position. When I listen to the live performance of Paul Desmond Quartet recorded on 1975, it sounded as if it was recorded recently except for inherent hiss on that recording. Various drum cymbals sounded wonderfully with details and at definite positions. Actually I was able to locate where they are. Also the timbre of various cymbals sounded perfect and different from each other. What about the drum brush, the bass guitar and the electric guitar? They just sounded as they should and all were very clear to my ears. All of the music came with such liveliness with improved spaciousness and more three dimensional sound than any of others. What was a real surprise is that this pure silver cable did not affect the bass adversely but actually it blew strength and life into the bass area also. No excessive highs and no attenuated lows at the same time!! Every instruments from the deep bass to the upper highs sounded more clear with accurate timbre!! They just sounded fantastic!! I think I cannot describe the changes enough. If you want to enjoy a new dimension of sound with your pair of HD650, this may be the one to go with.. I felt a huge improvement in many aspects compared to the stock or a silver-plated copper cable. I wound definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to upgrade the sound of HD650s. I'd been much anxious about this item, before I could confirm its performance. I just can say its amazing..-------------------------Edited : Nov 13, 2016I purchased one more of this replacement cable for my HD650.It was packaged along with the headphone case I hadd ordered and was packaged within a artificial-leather pouch.I just liked the sound signature that this cable had given to my HD650. I hope it would last long.

Asymmetrical Cable for Senneheiser HD660s
I bought it because I wanted a shorter thinner cable with a 3.5mm connector than the standard Sennheiser cable that is supplied with the HD660s (2.5m with 6.3mm connector). I use the Headphones with an Apogee Groove on a MacBook Pro.Sound quality:I can't hear an obvious difference to the stock Sennheiser cable. The difference between the MacBook Pro headphone out and the Apogee Groove is a monumental difference, if you are looking for sound improvement I think the DAC/Amp area is where the bang for buck is largest.Quality and PracticalityThe cable is slightly stiffer than the stock Sennheiser cable. Its not super stiff but noticeable. On the HD660s its also slightly more microphonic (the cable mechanically transfers sound from rubbing on cloth etc if you move) than the stock cable. What was not clear to me from the description is that this cable is asymmetrical (some reviews hinted at this but it was not consistent. The version I got (Oct 2020) is as per the picture asymmetrical. I am not too bothered by this, I have the cable to one side and have the longer branch behind my neck, that gets the cable nicely out of the way.I think this cable might be sized for the Sennheiser HD25 style where the left ear cup branch goes over the headband to the ear cup. But lacking the HD25 to try out.Overall:I like the neatness of a shorter cable that has the right connector (no adaptor needed) to go into my MBP. Not bothered by the asymmetry. I would although prefer the soft stock Sennheiser cable in this configuration. It certainly is not an "sound upgrade" to my ears.

Serviceable though the wire is shorter than I initially thought ...
Serviceable though the wire is shorter than I initially thought. It's way too firm. So much so I can hear microphonics due to the stiffness.
