I got a yorkie puppy in Brittany, France the 11th of July . Begining of august I was staying the french alps where there are hardly any fleas. I put the tag on my 3 months puppy, then begining of september I arrived in Clearwater Florida . Today is the 29th of september andI haven't seen a single flea or tick on my dog. I had already bought this for my previous yorkie dog. She was old and had health issues. I didn't do a thing on her. Later on I remember having read that it didn't work well on older or sick dogs because the dog magnetic field was too weak. Before buying this tag in a new unit of time I had listen to a you tube video where a breeder named Micheline's pups in Ocala florida had put this tag on one of her puppy and an amber collar on the other one. She was very believable when she said it worked. So I decided to give it another shot remembering having read previously that it worked on young and healthy dogs. I am glad I did . I also wanted to add my dog is a big yorkie she weighs 11 pounds at 5 months she goes outside in her backyard as she pleases through a doggy door. She also goes to dog park 2 or 3 times a week. So she is very exposed to fleas.

I hate to do this, but this product doesn't work at all. A waste of $60! I followed the directions, have bathed my dog in flea shampoo multiple times, and have more fleas than before I started using this. On top of it you have a 30-day window to return the item and the directions say that it won't start to work for at least 3 weeks after putting this on your dog. So by the time you figure out it doesn't work, you can't return it. Complete Snake Oil!!!!!

UPDATE: years later I am still using these and still so happy. One note though, the ring they send with it is flimsy and terrible. I have lost two of these early over the years and had to repurchase. The company needs to send better rings with it so you don't have to purchase those separately.I purchased two of units, one for each of my medium sized dogs. I live in deep North East Texas (piney woods) in a terrible flea and tick area. I held off on reviewing this item for almost full year to evaluate how well it works during all seasons. It is absolutely the best flea and tick preventative I have ever used with my dogs. I have enjoyed the company of indoor dogs who go in and out via a dog door for many years now and have tried everything available from vet prescribed to herbal (natural) preventatives. I followed the instructions and put these on my dogs collars 2 months prior to flea season. I could not be happier. I witnessed my dogs scratch a handful of times over the last year and examined the puppy dog immediately finding no fleas. I did find one tick on one dog's head during the summer. I am getting ready to order two more tags before the next Spring and Summer seasons here since the packaging says it works for one year. I can't say enough about this product.By the way, I didn't receive these free. I purchased them both because I was searching for a more natural remedy that actually works.

It will be a year, in 3months, that my pomeranian has had hers on. And she hasn't had any problem in our yard!I don't know how it works BUT IT DOES!!

I waited to try this out b4 writing a review. I bought 2, one for our lab and one for our small mix breed. Says it takes awile for it to sync to their body so we waited it's been 8 weeks wich it says it only takes 4 to start working. Every time we go for a walk our dogs get ticks last trip they had 9 between the 2 of them so it is not repelling Ticks don't waste your money. I had high hopes as we are avid outdoors ppl and ticks are a real problem but in my opinion these do not work at all! I will be calling to get my money back from the company!
