Quick Draw Gun Holster Lubricant & Protectant | Silicone and Lanolin for Longer Holster Life | Kydex, Leather, Plastic | Aerosol Spray

Used sparingly on the inside of a brand new U.S. Army leather holster for a Colt 45 M1911A1 pistol after holster was shaped over several days to the pistol wrapped in a quart size plastic ziploc bag. The plastic bag allows slightly more spreading of the new leather (as indicated in several online "how to break in a new leather holster..." articles). After lubing, It worked perfectly, allowing pistol to be drawn smoothly, and the holster flap to be closed easily, but snuggly, over the brass stud without problems. The flap and stud were originally a very tight fit. This holster and pistol are not for quick draw. I just wanted smooth action in drawing and inserting the pistol and closing the flap without wearing the fingers raw. The lubricant composition seems to be far superior to anything else on the market, so is worth the price.

I've used leather holster lubricants/protectants for over twenty years. I stumbled upon this particular formulation and thought I'd give it a try. I am specifically looking for a formulation that contains silicone so it protects the leather as well as the firearm. My firearms had minimal finish were despite thousands of holstering and unhoIstering iterations over the years. I thought I'd like the addition of aloe to the formulation and it appears to work very well as all the adds and other reviews have indicated. However, because of the cost per ounce is pretty steep for a volume user I will be looking to buy the ingredients in bulk separately and making my own.

The product does what it says it will do, lightly slickening the inside of a holster to make drawing a sidearm less balky.Applying the product is via a fine aerosol mist. That's ideal in a way, but I notice quite a bit of the product is wasted because the mist comes out in a cloud that blows into a wider area than the holster occupies. A more focused mist or a manual spray bottle might be better.Holsters with a suede lining seem to absorb a lot of this stuff before the product is effective . I've sprayed the inside of my Bianchi Shadow II three times and it hasn't improved.. I'm pretty confident it'll get there at some point, but that leads to another problem:The bottle holds only one ounce of product. I'm using most of it on a single holster and loss to the air. Kind of expensive.

This product is truly AWSOME. I had two kydex holsters that i really liked but they had some drag to them slowing down my draw. With one little blast of this product that drag was 100% GONE. This product is not messy either and it just takes one little blast. If you have hang up or want to draw your firearm faster buy a can. With the amount you get in one can it will probably last forever. Trust me its worth every penny. Also made in AMERICA by AMERICAN VETS......

Excellent product. Actually works really well lubricating the holster. I just spray a quick shot while I am at the range. My holster always dragged along the rail that holds the optional light. I haven't made it to the bottom of the can yet, but I have used it several times and gave a shot to my friends that I go to the gun club with and it doesn't seem like I even made a dent in the amount left in the can. I have a feeling that it will last a very long time. I will report back if it runs out sooner.

For plastic holsters (Kydex, Boltaron, Holstex, etc.), the usefulness is minimal, at best. Unless you have holsters or sheaths that don't come apart for cleaning, or that are too tight and narrow to be cleaned, with a silicone cloth; this is a waste of money. I have a few knife sheaths like that; but even then, you can submerge them in soapy water and follow up with WD-40 and high pressure air to remove water from the crevices. Where this shines, is with leather holsters. Most people think that plastic holsters are rougher on gun finishes; but it's actually leather. Leather can't be washed; so crud gets trapped in the skin. Also, the break in period for a custom leather holster, is very tough on a gun's finish. This product helps reduce the friction in leather holsters; reducing drag and wear on your guns. For that reason, only, I would keep a can around.

I’m sure when most people read about this product, they dismissed it quickly as a gimmick. But I will tell you that this stuff works!! It makes your holsters, especially kydex “slippery smooth” and your holsters will still retain their retention. Definitely worth it if you shoot a lot. No more scratchy feeling when you pull your weapon to shoot. Be safe!

Great stuff. Exceeded my expectations! I used it one my cowboy double rig for SASS cowboy action shooting, on my shoulder holster for my 1911, IWB and OWB carry holsters, my wife's leather holsters as well. It dries to a very slick, non-stick feel. Doesn't discolor the leather much. Wont harm metal or plastic. You can skin that smoke wagon faster than ever.
