These are the best binoculars you can buy for the money. I own two pairs, one for each of my vehicles, and have given 3 pairs as gifts. The binoculars are really well made. The magnification is great for viewing all kinds of sports, fishing, hunting, bird watching, etc. Most important is that they are bright and sharp and easy to handle. The rubber texture on the outside is comfortable and warm and provides waterproofing. The twist out eye relief is just right. They have a smooth and easy to adjust center focus dial and individual focus ring for fine tuning. The weight is just right; not too heavy and not too light. Very impressive.

These are really excellent binoculars especially for a reasonable price. Very easy to use and adjust as needed. The optics are superb and surprised how absolutely clear it was when using them. They feel very solid, easy to hold and look sharp as well. Very pleased overall.

I chose these binoculars because they were recommended by NY Times Wirecutter. I am on Maui watching humpback whales in the ocean between Lahaina and Lanai. The optics are superb. I can clearly see whales that are nearly invisible to my naked eyes. The binoculars are comfortable in my hands and the focus mechanism adjusts easily but stays where it is set. I can pass them around for others to see what I’m watching and then readjust them to me in a few seconds. I am very pleased with my purchase. They are also light and steady enough that they worked great when I took them on a small craft whale watching excursion.

My 47-year-old pro-grade 7x50 marine binoculars are excellent for their intended purpose, but for watching birds at my front yard feeder, not so good. For starters, they weigh 3 pounds, and they barely focus close enough even for the most distant things I want to see. These Athlon binoculars are much lighter and focus very close, but as a bonus, they are very clear and the colors are bright and saturated (the coatings work). No complaints at all.

Amazing clarity. My husband went from “I’m not a bird watcher” to sitting on the patio daily to watch the birds lol! Said he could read Southwest on a plane flying overhead! Worth the cost all day long.

The binoculars are exceptionally good, providing a very sharp image and being easy to use. However, one drawback with the design is the front caps. They are simply there without any way to ensure they won’t fall off. In fact, mine fell off within a week, which could be improved with a better design solution.

The image fills your vision in a way that’s immersive through both lenses, and the focus is quick and easy to dial in, which I didn’t expect as a beginner. My main use for these will be long-range shooting, and I already know they’re going to be a huge asset. But honestly, they’re so good I’m planning to bring them along to work and just about anywhere else. They’ve already earned a permanent spot in my gear. Overall, I absolutely recommend these based on clarity, build quality, and overall experience. For a first pair, they’ve set the bar really high—and I can already tell these are going to be a long-term companion on a lot of adventures.

While I have only had these for about 2 hours, I am truly amazed with the clarity of the binoculars. This model comes with a FOV (field of view) of over 420 feet. My old pair was around 300 and it's a huge difference. The front lens covers just flip down so you won't lose them and the provided neck strap can wrap around the other lens cover to keep everything safe and together. The UHD makes a big difference in seeing colors and between heavy covered trees to spot birds hiding. After doing a lot of research, I am confident in my purchase of this item.

The optics are excellent, adjustment is easy, the price is reasonable. I use them a lot, for birding (a bit) but more for seeing details in things that are far away.
