Great idea but needs something additional
Love that it's shot glasses made of ice. Love that you can drop it in your drink with a shot or without or just as ice. Hate that if you're using it to take shots, it melts incredibly quickly. They were dripping in my hand. A lot of them also cracked so we lost liquor lol. It's cool and does brighten up a party. A lot of people I know haven't seen them so it was thing. Oh yeah I made them in batches & put the "good" shots in small zip locks back in the freezer and then made morem I bought two sets and they take a while to freeze. Hope this helped someone! -imthaonee

Perfect for parties!
My husband's 30th birthday party was this weekend and this simple product gave us the opportunity to delight our guests and gave the party the pizazz we wanted it to have. I gave it to him as a Christmas present 7 days before his party, so here's everything we made with it in a week's time: 12 cola glasses, 12 ice glasses, maybe 20 juice glasses, 10 gummy (during my first try using jello and gelatin) glasses, and 23 jello jiggler glasses. That's nearly 80 shot glasses in a week! These molds are very easy to use and allow you to be as creative as you want to be. After all the use they've gotten this week, they still look as new as they did before. They have very much earned a spot in our kitchen. The most important thing to know about these molds is to just be patient when trying to extract the shot glass, so here are my tips. FOR ICE: Turn on the tap and run the water that's hot but not steaming (if the water's too hot, the ice will crack). Slowly move the mold under the stream for maybe 20 seconds. Take the tops off and use one hand to squeeze the top of the mold slightly until you see an air bubble move to the bottom of the glass. Use the other hand to gently squeeze the bottom of the glass and work back and forth with each hand until the glass pops out. If no air bubble is getting to the bottom, run under water again for a few more seconds. FOR GELATIN: Twist the top off; you will meet some resistance but just keep twisting and pulling at an even keel and don't worry about the glass breaking because gelatin is very durable. Now if the glass comes with the top, use you fingers to gently tug at the top of the glass all around it until it loosens and you can pull it off. If the glass stays in, slide one finger in one side and your thumb in the other side and grab the glass with both digits and just jiggle it back and forth until it comes loose. The more gelatin you use, the stronger it will be and the less you will have to worry about when trying to free it.These are very high quality molds and the price is most certainly a good one so consider them a true investment if you like to host parties or a perfect present if you know somebody who does.

it was way more awesome than i thought it would be, and a HUGE HIT at our party!
The reviews made it sound like this was not a good buy...we bought it...and the single one. first, get the double, for two reasons. 1) it is thicker then the single...so more ice and lasts longer...and is more sturdy, if you will. 2) two people can do shots simultaneously and it seems like people like to do shots with folks. It was such a huge hit, people asked about using it after the party...or getting their own! I would recommend taking some time prior to take it out of the mold when frozen...you want to wait till last minute but it is a bit of a process. the single one popped and the ice cracked as we took it out...but the double made it...Others said the plastic was cheap, but we did not find that, it seems acually very sturdy...I was expecting some sort of total cheap flimsy thing, but it was not at all, it was thick...I cannot imagine the plastic breaking...Just beware of the ice cracking as you warm it to get it out of the mold. Also, getting it frozen...be sure to find a level spot in your freezer and do not move it during freezing. i moved it and the ice froze in like two layers..

Fun addition to a party
This is a very good product. It was easy to use but you need to be sure to check dimensions of your available freezer space to make sure it can lie flat. I was easy to unmold and the ice lasted for hours and hours. The only complaint I had is that the two luges are a bit wide. It made it hard to control where the liquid went as it came down the luge. But overall very pleased. It added a lot of fun to our small party!

Works great - freezes uneven for some reason, but does the trick
We bought this ice luge for our annual halloween party and it sure was a hit. Freezes in full in 24 hours. We did a test run of it 4 days before the party to make sure it worked and how to remove from the mold, etc. No real issues. The odd thing is that when it freezes it forms a bubble on one side consistently and then when you empty from the mold it is slightly uneven/lopsided.I even took it out of the freezer and took a hot, damp towel to it to try and even it out and then a knife to cut down the raised edge/bubble. But in a few hours it was back. Regardless, we took it out of the mold, let it sit out on the counter on a cookie sheet and within 30 - 45 min it was out. You simply flip it over and you're good to go. Very fun. Would recommend for the outstanding price.
