Get ready to time travel...but exercises are right on target for pregnancy.
OMG! I'm going through doing reviews on everything in my Amazon account. I bought this when I was pregnant with my first kid more than 8 YEARS AGO! (2006) I still remember this QUITE well. It is soooooo '80's! The actual work out was perfect for a pregnant lady that was used to exercise, but not marathons. The "Prego Shuffle" was embarrassing to watch. It was a take-off from the Super Bowl Shuffle the Bears did back in '86???? or about then, I think. I always fast forwarded that part and just pulled it out to show my sister to laugh about. What is most important to know is the EXERCISE was worth the time traveling. It was just the right pace.

Perfectly well rounded workout
This workout has it all!! You get a great warm up,aerobic workout and toning session. The aerobic session is broken into 3 segments wich is great because it seems to go faster and if you are a beginner you can skip a segment or two and go strait to toning. Everything is fun and easy. between segments you check your heart rate and one time she puts up the borg scale. The toning segment is great because she does both upper and lower body, with lots of kegels. After the prenatal routine Kathy gives you exercises for the postnatal period she even breaks it down into the first through third day after and then weekly. So you know exactly what to do and when to do it. This video may be old but you would never know it except by the outfits of the other women. Kathy also has women from every stage of pregnancy there, wich helps inspire you. I have 3 pregnancy workout videos and this is my favorite. Another good one is Leisa Hart's fitmamma.

Good workout-a little dated (okay a lot)
I have always enjoyed Kathy Smith's workout videos and this is no exception. I got a good workout without feeling over tired and there are a variety of options for less energetic days. There is a good aerobics section followed by a toning section. I love all of the abdominal exercise options. I haven't seen that on any other DVD.A few problems with the DVD are that it is a little difficult to just get to the workout. There is a lot of talking before and after and it isn't organized in sections on the main menu. I assume that is because this was adapted from VHS. Also the outfits, the preggo rap and the music are very dated.Overall though, this is an awesome workout that I would recommend to any pregnant woman.

Great pregnancy workout
This is a GREAT pregnancy workout. Not to strenuous, not to easy. I was able to complete this workout until my 7th month (I got really huge). I even used this workout to loose the baby weight after the baby was born, but it can be annoying to workout with pregnant woman on the screen when your not pregnant!I was in reasonably good shape before I started this program. May be too strenuous if your pregnant and starting from scratch.I'd recommend this to any pregnant woman who wants to exercise. It will help you feel a lot better through your pregnancy!

You'll find yourself reaching for this workout over and over
This is an awesome excercise video. Prior to pregancy I exercised to videos regulary, often getting bored before it was done. The music, the choice of fun dancy like moves, and the variety of moves keep you motivated. I especially liked how the video was sectioned off for energizer, aerobics 1, 2 etc. so that if you are a beginner or lacking time you could select some or all of the aerobics and toning to do. There were also great pregancy and post-pregnancy tips from Kathy and doctors. This is the best video I own, and I wouldn't be surprised if I excercise to it long after pregnancy is over.

Low impact
This workout is easier than I expected. I didn't use it much because I felt I wasn't getting much out of it. Also, I was excited about the postnatal workout it said it had on there and I never found that on the dvd and I looked very good- in every bonus feature and every button that was on there. Never found a postnatal workout. Also it is a little slow. It would be good for someone needing a low impact workout.

Oldie, but Goodie
I own other prenatal workout videos, and this is one of my favorite. Before becoming pregnant, I worked out regularly and wanted something that would keep me active and engaged. While it is quite dated, I like that this has a pretty good cardio section. There is an 11 minute warm-up, which is kind of slow, and then 18 minutes of pure aerobics. The moves are kind of cheesy, but safely have you sweating. It seems like so many workout videos for pregnant women want to steer clear of any real cardio, and if they have a separate cardio section, it is very easy and does nothing for your heart rate. This is a very comprehensive workout, and it seems almost a new moms guide to pregnancy. There are interviews with doctors answering patients commonly asked questions. There also is an extensive postnatal workout section, giving you details as to what days to do what sort of exercises. I have never seen anything this extensive in the videos I have owned I also like the fact that there are several pregnant women in all stages of pregnancy working out. I workout regularly (before, during, and after pregnancy), and I feel like I get a good workout from this. Again, it is very dated and some moves are quite corny, but I like Kathy's style- very calm and instructive. I have this, Erin O Brian's Prenatal Fitness Fix, and the Perfect Pregnancy Workout. I rotate among these three heavily, and feel like I do well overall with all three of them.

outdated!
I knew this was an 80's video when I bought it but did not predict how dumb I would feel dancing to the music and watching the cheesy, fakeness of the ladies in it. There is even a rap song they do together that they want you to sing a long with them in order to evaluate whether or not you are too out of breath or not! The whole thing is just so dorky. Also, the music is far too loud in comparison to the instructors voice. At times it is worse than others, almost like her microphone gets obstructed temporarily and you just can't hear her instruction.

enjoyable
i enjoyed this dvd nearer the end of my pregnancy as i am used to excercise and its quite easy for the beginning of pregnancy - very 90's - if you can ignore the cheesey outfits and music it is good - very informative good pce, easy moves but doesnt build up a sweat if you are used to excercise - i would say worth the money and one of the best pregnancy excercise dvd's out there but aimed more at beginners to excercise

Not my style.
Outdated. Purchased this 12 years ago and I remember watching/doing it and thinking "this is so passe". If you're reading this now (2016), don't bother with it. Find something more current.
