Good locker - A little rough at times.
Have it in a 2011 Ranger 4x4 manual trans... Every now and then, it seems to get stuck and not unlock. Makes it difficult to drive on pavement at times.Takes a little getting used to once installed. Easiest way to get it to unlock in turns is either kick the trans into neutral, or apply light throttle while turning. But oh man on gravel and dirt.... This thing is an absolute blast.

Impressed
Wow. Much needed improvement, I can feel the torque gains on the road and I'm no longer spinning tires on loose grass, mud or dirt. Fairly easy to install in my 2005 Ford Ranger Edge, took about 3 hours and that was my first time ever opening a differential too. I don't do any extreme off-roading, but I live in south Georgia and was tired of getting stuck in the yard after a rain, this has solved that problem. The tires still differentiate on the road while turning, so no rubber is being scuffed or dragged to turn, you'll know by the ratcheting of the gears. Highly recommended.

Great locker
1998 Ford ranger 4x4 8.8 open diff. Installed in about 3 hours and it’s night and day difference even with street tires.

Works great for a while but wears out quickly, requiring an un-install.
Don't buy this junk. In just under 3000 miles and a little over two years mine failed due to the poor quality of the item. Teeth wore out and allowed it to slip on straightaways and banged around in my rear end. By they time I got it out it was just out of warranty period. Company will not stand behind these products. Was professionally installed and topped with new manufacture's spec fluid. They are not easy to put in or take out on a Ford 8.8. The half shafts will need to come out. Just a total pain. There is a reason why Ford doesn't put these in at the factory. THEY ARE JUNK! Take a look at the worn edges on this gear. All four are like that. Not even 3000 miles!!!! Be warned.
