Had to laugh at how in expensive these struts were, and how well they worked on my 2004 Ranger 520VX !Perfect fit, wish I had installed these much sooner!!!!

These are very strong and I probably could have gotten by with the 10 lb struts. There is no measuring instructions included and I only got three different style mounting brackets. All the different type mounting brackets shown are not included. With that said they work great. They hold the lid open and closed with a decent amount of force.

I purchased these to replace some aged gas struts on the side door of my truck canopy. Installation could have been easier, likely by design the locking tabs are difficult to remove which makes sense but I had a hard time telling when the tabs were completely closed and locked on the canopy. They are holding up well and keep the door open which is what I needed and they are stiff enough that an inadvertent bump or a strong wind isn't going to cause them to close on my head which is appreciated.Adding a visible indicator to the locking mechanism would be a great way to improve these.

I needed several struts to hold up access doors for a chicken coop. Doors weigh 16# each. So believing the specs, I first ordered 10# struts. Fail. No resistance at all. Second was 22#. One should have been enough but even 2 couldn't hold open. Lastly I got these 45# ones. One almost held it open but couldn't. I paired with one of the 22# and finally success.So my experience with multiple vendors is none of these cheap Chinese struts are rated correctly.

Too many sellers on Amazon provide photos that insinuate various accessories are included YET include ZERO accessories. Because of this, the ease of installation receives a 2 star review. Otherwise, the item is built as well as any other mass produced item and will serve its purpose.These sellers really do need to be clear about why is and is NOT included with the products they’re selling. The description did state the order was for 2 struts, it did not directly state hardware would be included. This does not change the fact the photos and box show hardware in the same fashion other products display accessories that are included.

installed on a top cabinet door that opens up in the RV. Now I can open the door and not get hit in the head or unload needed items with my head. The door stays up and strong.

Kobalt Truck toolbox lid stays up now. Direct replacement.

I ordered the wrong struts (which were exactly what I was looking for but too strong for what I needed). Great product though. When I went to exchange them I had a small issue that was fixed immediately. I think customer service sells and you can trust these guys to help you out!!!

Good lift assist. I probably should have got the next more powerful size up for my application though.
