Just remember to put a little grease on the pin and in the spacer sleeve and then just a few hits with a hammer and you're done. I used marine grease, but any grease should work just fine

Great quality hammerlocks. Super stoked with the paint and the overall value. Used these as a solution to hook up safety chains on our RV.. after trying three different methods, just couldn't find a clasp or shackle that would fit this ridiculous F-550 receiver design... there was just too much meat/metal on the edges for any shackle or clasp to fit. These hammerlocks fit through the "senkeyfe 3/8 trailer safety chains", ordered here on Amazon.

Great quality and price

Plenty tough for the job. I use these to attach safety chains on truck hitches that are too large for the safety chain hooks. Seems like most of the new trucks now have 2.5" hitches where everything is much bigger. A pair of these over the 5/8" loops brings them down to where 1/2" chain hooks will fit. And they should not vibrate loose like shackles can.
