I would just like to say that these underwear are already a life ...
Update 5/11/15So while these worked very well at first they have continually gone down hill since then. My son pees out of these almost every night. My hope is that the pair I bought is defective. The company has the worst customer service ever! I e-mailed months ago when the problem started and no one responded. Then finally after researching ways to help I ordered hemp inserts and that helped for a while. I tried stripping them as well let a Facebook comment I found. Now they don't seem waterproof at all. I finally got in touch with someone who said she would send a replacement pair because these don't seem waterproof which she claimed is rare. That was over a week ago and they haven't shown up and I haven't received a tracking number or any other correspondence. If you do buy these definitely use Amazon's customer service for problems. They are amazing. This is the first review I ever wrote back in the fall. They offer a free insert with a review. At the time I really believed these were a life saver. If the new pair ever arrives I will review again. Also, these are microfiber. I have researched and found that the cotton ones are better so that is what I will try next.I would just like to say that these underwear are already a life saver after only one night! My son will be 5 next month and he has continued to need diapers or pull ups since he was fully day time trained over a year ago. There is no rhyme or reason to when he pees at night. We have tried everything and he just appears to be a very heavy sleeper and a very heavy wetter at times. I had recently had to go back to nighttime diapers and even those he peed out of and lately he just is so upset about having to wear diapers at his age. I have to admit I held off on these for a long time due to the price and then I just finally bit the bullet and got them. He was in love at the first sight of them. He is a tall and skinny boy and the size 2 fits him perfectly. I love how soft they are and he doesn't mind that they are bulky compared to his regular daytime underwear. All he cared about was the fact that they were real cloth underwear:-) He peed in them the first night and it contained the pee just fine and he woke up comfortable with dry clothes and dry sheets so I am a happy momma! I did find a youtube video about these that was very helpful in showing how to fold the insert for a boy. I actually folded it into thirds and that worked well for us. I am so glad that I bought these underwear!

Leaky :(
1st off, to all the sleepy parents dealing with bedwetting, you are not alone! We will get through this :)I bought the size 2 (large) for my 5 year old who weighs 46 lbs and they looked too big for him, even though that was the recommended size. They are bulky on him but not gapping anywhere so we went with it. He had been fully potty trained day/night for a while, but has recently had a regression (after giving up the afternoon nap) and is wetting every night, multiple times a night. He goes before bed, we wake him once between 9:30pm and 10pm to go potty and he still has accidents later in the night. I was hoping that these would keep his clothes/bed dry for the rest of the night, but by 2:30am his clothes and bed were wet and had to be changed. These did not give us the uninterrupted sleep we were hoping for :( I'm going to try again with an additional insert and will update the review if that helps. I just hate the idea of going back to disposables, but this momma needs sleep Zzzzzzz.....

Great for kids transitioning from night diapers to regular underwear
We used these consistently for about six months during the time my son was transitioning from needing nighttime diapers to being able to wear regular underwear to bed. There were many accidents along the way. The Super Undies were able to fully contain the fluids without an extra insert about half the time. As for the other half, we were still happy to have these as they helped contain the mess.Although we no longer need Super Undies for my son while we are at home, I always pack Super Undies for him to use while we are traveling. He has yet to protest them. Yes, they are more bulky than regular underwear, but I understand from him that they are still comfortable. We will definitely be using these soon with our younger child.

The best we can find so far
My 9 year old son still has issues with bedwetting and he soaks right through disposable pull-ups. GoodNites Tru Fit were the only thing that worked for him, so I have been looking for several months for a replacement since they were discontinued. Super Undies are the best we have found so far, but we still have occasional leaks and I am trying different soaker combinations. Super Undies with 2 hemp inserts seem to work on most nights. Size 3 was way too big and leaked at the legs for my son who is 44" tall and 65 lbs but size 2 seems to work.

Really big and bulky
I think the sizing is off. I ordered the large for my 5 year old boy who is 40 lbs but quite tall, and these are huge. also, I didn't realize the sides are made from a kind of thick fleece. I wanted to use these as a next step from disposable night pull-ups on our way to being diaper free at night, but these feel so much bulkier than the diapers, hard to sell them to my son as being closer to underwear. Now, maybe it's not fair for me to give three stars without seeing what the mediums would be like, but I wanted to give the heads up to anyone who was thinking of going to the bigger size if their kid is 40 lbs, like mine.

Glad to have reusable items, but may need additional absorbency
They are well-made and have worked well for our two daughters (ages 2 and 4). However, for our son (age 6) there have been frequent leaks and we needed to add flat diapers inside for extra absorbency. He also complains about the extra bulk being uncomfortable. However, we are glad not to be going through Pull-ups all the time. We throw any wet ones in the wash with our infant's cloth diapers, but if you do not have an infant in cloth diapers, it may be inconvenient to wash these individually and they get quite stinky if you don't wash them right away.

Definitely a better option price-wise
I bought these for my 3 year old who wears pull ups at night. Definitely a better option price-wise. I've done cloth diapers for 2 kids so this is not a big deal to wash and dry, etc. I also bought for the 2 year old at night. I think they work well. If there is a lot of pee in the morning the 3 year old seems bothered but hopefully this will help him get out of bed and use the restroom! In the summer, they made the boys pretty hot but now that it's winter it's perfect because it helps keep them warmer too. BTW the 3 year old will not wear the other brand anymore, those big puffy white ones...
