Good so far
Bought the 60-120 and so far it's been good. Out of box, the control box labeling was peeling off. Not a big deal, just slipped a little drop of glue in the corner to hold it down. Very slight vibration sound even on low. Compare it to your phone on silent/vibrate but sounds like it's in another room. I say that because it kept throwing me off whenever I would hear it. Other than that, it's doin it's job. 🫡

4+ years and still going strong.
I bought the 2100gph model back in April of 2019. It has been in my reef tank running non stop since. I have not experienced one issue or problem with it. It is also very strong. I run it on the lowest setting (30%), and it is still on the verge of creating too much current in my 60 gallon tank. I would not hesitate to buy one of these again. The only change i would make next time is to buy the next size down.

Dynomite wavemaker for the price
The media could not be loaded. First off I'm giving this a 4 * + -1 * because of the size of the spacing in the impeller guard. The spacing is very wide and I've lost my fair share of livestock with powerhead having this much spacing in the guards. On the positive side this wave maker does more than what you would expect from a wave maker in this price range. it moves a lot of water and I'll say it again, it moves a lot of water. this is not meant for a small tank. This is a 300-gallon tank and its moving water across the entire tank. I have it mounted about 8 inches from the surface of the water pointed 30 degrees towards the surface The various modes seem to work very well. the feed mode works well. it shuts off for 10 minutes so you don't blow away all the food into the return and it kicks right back on without any problem. The night mode seems to work very well by reducing power down to 30%. Overall if they would make the impeller guard much smarter like some of the higher price units it would be a 5* wavemaker. I have 2 and I'm contemplating if I really need to put both of them in the tank right now that it's a fish only tank. Once I start introducing corals and they're growing to a certain size then I'll certainly need all the movement I can possibly handle. I recently did a complete remake of the aquascaping in the tank and I remove all my substrate from bottom including all 30gal crushed corals and sand to make it a barebottom tank in anticipation of having to move a lot of water with to benefit the corals. This wavemaker will certainly be able to get the job done.

Powerful, Excellent For The Price, DEFINITELY worth it
The media could not be loaded. I bought the 2100 pump and I absolutely love it, I'm using it in my 36 inch long 50 gallon acrylic saltwater reef tank on M2 mode (goes up to M4) with knob turned all the way up, with a small JVP 110 powerhead on opposite side so both pumps facing right at each other 36" apart to create a gyre effect which helps eliminate dead spots. I'll likely slowly start raising the flow a little with the controller over time as my corals get used to it. It's really quiet, this tank is in my bedroom and I had to put my ear up to it to hear it, my skimmer pump and algae scrubber pump are MUCH louder. The Magnets are extremely powerful, I have 1/2 inch acrylic and it has no trouble at all holding the pump in place, so much better than suction cups! It has replaced three Koralia pumps and has way more power by itself than probably five or more of those pumps, and that's only on M2. I have several SPS (hard Stony corals) which requires high flow, it's right up there with an Ecotech MP40 pump which costs six times what this costs with similar settings (I'm currently using an Ecotech MP40 in another tank so I can easily compare the two) I really like the Feed Mode, you hold the top right feed' button down for three seconds and it shuts the pump off for ten minutes for feeding, before in this particular tank I'd have to unplug three different pumps to do this. I also added a DIY mesh cover to keep my snails and anenomes safe so they don't get chopped up, I've been having to clean it daily with a toothbrush but it's worth keeping my anenomes alive, I use a DIY mesh cover on all my pumps. I probably wouldn't use this pump on a freshwater tank unless it was at least 55 gallons even on the lowest setting, this pump is powerful and would probably be overkill for many freshwater tanks, but if you have a reef tank 40 gallons+ this pump is for you! I probably wouldn't use it in a reef under 40 gallons, it would likely create a sand storm because it's that powerful! I could see myself even using it on a 90-120 gallon softie coral tank too, it's that powerful by itself. I almost purchased the 3400 but man I'm glad I didn't because it definitely would have been too much for a 50 gallon. I've attached a short video with the pump on M2, I tried to get shots mainly of some soft corals so you can see the flow pattern on that setting in a 36 inch long tank. Please excuse the detritus flying around, I had just cleaned the mesh on the pump right before I took the video!

Wavemaker
I love the product but only issue I have with the product is this is my second one I buy and the second one that the face of the unit is peeling of in less then a week. They need to find a better way to put the face cover on the buttons. Well at least the 2 I purchased came apart. Any information from seller would be nice

75 Gal
Very strong wave maker. Product says good from 60-120gallons. This wave maker is a little too strong for my 75gal even on lowest setting at 30%. Will not go any lower. I suggest for this product to have a full adjustment button or knob from 10% and up. I have to turn it on and off to not stress my African cichlids out. But very powerful and moves lots of water. I suggest this wave maker for a 120gal tank nothing less.

Wow...Killer Wavemaker!
The media could not be loaded. It's just day one after installing the W-40, but I'm super impressed to this point. I've got a 180 gallon, six foot tank, and running it on 40% power, it's more than enough movement for what I'm looking for. It's kicken up the detritus and moving it to my two FX6 intakes. Anxious to see how much cleaner the water looks after it runs a few days. It's whisper quiet too. Also, I did notice that if it's to close to the surface, it will cyclone the surface and you can actually hear it sucking. This happened at 40% and I had to drop it a few more inches from the surface to get that suction noise to stop.I researched and studied for a few weeks before I made this purchase. I'll bet I looked at roughly 50 or more wavemakers and am glad I got this one! The price was also a huge bonus in my mind! Can't go wrong with this one imho.I am beyond happy at this point and will update this review after it's had a chance to run a few weeks.

Takes time to "break in" --- Loud at first, after breaks in is silent
When first plugging in the wavemaker, it was extremely loud - to a concerning degree. Loud enough for you to hear it in the other room loud! However, after reading some other reviews here saying that it took theirs a few days to break in, I decided to leave mine running at full blast. I came back after a few hours and it was still making a very loud noise - suddenly, out of nowhere, the noise stopped. Now it is very silent. I bought two of these, and both went through the same "very loud" to suddenly whisper quiet. So if yours is extremely loud like mine was - where I was considering throwing the whole thing out how loud it was - try leaving it running and see if it helps it break in and stop. Mine are both very quiet now, where I cannot hear it at all. The flow seems very strong, and it is nice to be able to rotate the head to face the direction I need. I am happy with the product (now! it was very scary how loud it was at first!!)

Powerful but flawed
So to be fair, this pump is really powerful but not for everyone, if you have big fish that's thicker than a thumb then you would probably like this wavemaker, but if you have small fish then you would hate it the eay i did, the holes are too big, I really can't get why. The other issue is the speed control range which starts with 30% . I had lots of issue with this wavemaker that I had to return it and I purchased the jebao sow-20 which I really love because it doesn't have these big holes, and the speed control starts with less than 500 GPH to around 5400, anyway, as I said that this pump is powerful and quiet but not for those with small fish or those seeking slower flow at night.

Definitely buy
Love the settings and control. I use in 54 gallon corner aquarium with African cichlids. Helps to lower aggression and keeps tank cleaner with the wave making. Fish love to swim in currents. I like night setting when it automatically slows to 30. % when lights go off. Wish I had bought this one a long time ago best one out there!

Buy the size they suggest on the lower end
I love this wave maker! It does exactly what it says it will do. The features are awesome! It even stays programmed if power goes out which is perfect for me because I have it on a socket timer so at night it shuts off so my cichlids can rest then comes back on in morning. It is strong in fact I bought the one from 100-300 gallon and I have a 125 gallon tank. It is too strong for my tank, however all I did was baffle it with filter media and it works just fine now.

Two great Pumps just make sure to clean them once a month
bought two of these. THOUGHT after 5 weeks they both stopped working because the propeller was spinning but water wasn’t being pushed. I didn’t know you could take these apart and clean them and it is very easy to do! The most important part is the little suck holes on the back of the pump. Once u take apart you’ll see there are 8 little holes on the back I cleaned out by just pushing a tiny drill bit through each hole with my fingers not a drill. They work perfect now just clean once a month and they work great.

Holy Smokes Fantastic
I have had a 75-gallon tank for 20 years. Anyone who has an aquarium knows it is not easy to keep fish alive sometimes. I just started using this wave maker 6 weeks ago and have not lost a fish since I started using it.Typically I would lose 1 to 3 fish a month even with proper water changes and filter changes.I am in shock. The only thing I changed or added was this wave maker which I knew nothing about. Some may say it is too aggressive for some fish , but my community fish seem to love it. I think it really brings a lot more oxygen to the tank. So far I am so thrilled I cannot explain it. I hope this helps , try itUpdate - If you buy one of these you will be happy with results. If it is too forceful and blasting your fish or the water too much simple lower the wave maker down another inch until you are satisfied. I installed mine about 4 to 5 inches below top of the water > My fish seem to love this thing, they are much more active and I have not lost a fish in months - for the first time. This thing may seem way too aggressive at first but trust me the fish seem to really love the extra oxygen in the water. Plus I think the action of the water looks cool

Too powerful for a 75gal
Pros-• Powerful• Easy to program•Wave function really does work unlike some other cheaper brands• Feed mode is 10 minutesCons-• The night time ramp down doesn't work. I've never noticed a change in flow.• Almost too powerful. Even on 30% with on/off wave mode it slams into my corals no matter how I position it in the tank. Currently it is halfway down the side pointing up and toward the backglass. The sticky tape for the controller mount isn't the best. But overall it is a great powerhead and I would recommend it to anyone with a 75gal+ tank who wants a simple no frill use.

Holy cow! Now that's some flow!
I went for the smallest size in my 55 gallon reef tank. I'm amazingly impressed. For once, the problem isn't lack of promised power or ability to move water...In fact, this is so powerful, I'm having trouble finding the best spot in my tank for it. 30% is the lowest setting and I need more like 15%! I'm sure if I baffle it, that'll probably work.Bang for the buck, if you want to really REALLY move some water. This is the one for you.
