I have a cordless, USB charged screwdriver with 1/4 hex head attachments that I keep in my desk drawer. I wanted to be able to drill pilot holes through thin materials (wood, 1/8" acrylic sheet) without going out to my garage and grabbing one of my larger drills and searching for drill bits (ADD roommate shares the tools in the garage and rarely puts the bits back in their slots).These bits worked wonderfully for my intended purpose. They securely fit into my cordless screwdriver and easily drilled through 1/8" acrylic sheet without cracking it. They also drilled into MDF easily. I've added these drill bits into the case that holds my cordless screwdriver and screw bits and I know this will save me a lot of time on my small projects in the future. It will also result in much less frustration with my roommate, at least in this regard. A definite win.

No you see, I can make a hole. Got plenty of drill bits for that. I need this hole right here to be bigger.Its right here. Yeah, you probably can't see it. because its so SMALL. I need to MAKE IT BIGGER.This is a dramatization of an event that has never happened. These things don't actually make your hole bigger. They don't even give you the illusion that the hole is bigger. I wanted to be honest in this day and age of penile enlargement products that will lie to you at 2am.These widen the head of the hold to accept the screwhead and make things nice and flush. But hey, if you are searching Amazon for "countersink drill bit" at 2am (and not that other product) then who am I to explain to you their purpose. You already know, but how do these work?They work well. Granted, I have been using them primarily in baltic birch and purebond ply, and some popular and now walnut (nothing to spike the Janka scale, mind you) but these carve their little pockets like diamond.I'm into these for a few months now, with... let's call it 600 countersinks and they are still producing clean, round sinkholes with no discernible tear-out and you get more tear-out in ply than you will a hardwood on this.So if its 2am where you are and you looking for a little more zing in your thing... and by that I mean flush joints and seamless screwpoints, then you could do a lot worse that these little beauties for the money.
