Q: My hob measures 64 wide 58 deep and a height of 8. Would this pair be suitable?

I bought an identical one for my mother in law off another popular auction/sales site. It would not quite fit over our induction hob which was 52cm deep. Mother in laws was the same size but I had to modify it anyway 1cm higher to clear the height of knobs on her ceramic hob.

Q: Does this sit on top the glass or over the edge?

5mm too short - make sure you measure accurately as if you have too return you have to pay postage and the item is very heavy and expensive to return.

Q: I have electric hobs. Can these be used to straight use of the hot hobs?

Well they are pretty heat resistant but if the hob is still glowing red NO allow to cool down for a while
