I’m very impressed with the Lexar 1TB PLAY microSD card. Was able to pick this up for 67.49 on sale, back on May 22, 2024. It is a U3 rated card, which is very fast in my case. Tested on DJI Mini 4 pro and had no issues recording video at 4K. However, I really got this for my 2023 Razer Edge Gaming Tablet device (also on sale here for like 250.00) to emulate a myriad of classic. Storage capacity is so huge that I end up having emulation paralysis trying to figure out just what it is I am going to play (like looking at a streaming video service menu). Works as intended with no issues.

I've been wanting a 1 TB SD card so I can load music, books, videos, and whatever else was of interest onto it and use it in my Fire 8 tablet. Rather than loading stuff in the card and hoping that the format was readable by my tablet, I let the tablet format it. Loading 1 TB of stuff onto an SD card of this size - even with USB 3 - takes a while - but it was worth the wait. The tablet has no problems loading any of the material. Videos are great. Music is good (any of this stuff is only as good as the quality of the source -- I listen to a lot of Old Time Radio (OTR) and a lot of it is pretty noisy - the Tablet won't magically improve it). For the price, being able to access a lot of content on this little card was great. It may be operator error, but I'd like to be able to download files on my tablet and move them to the SD card. When my tablet gets near to its capacity, I'll give it another try. I'd buy this SD card if I ever wanted to switch to other material. For now, with 1 TB of storage, I don't see this happening any time soon.

After an absolutely ridiculous handful of days waiting for this to arrive (because Amazon Logistics decided it was too much effort and tossed it to the USPS and a replacement had to be sent via UPS...) I was less than enthusiastic with this card. IT CRAWLED. 25.5/9.72mb respectively. Nothing worked. Used an adapter in my laptop's card reader, these were the best speeds I could get out of the dang thing. Plugged it into my USB-C hub with a built-in card reader, even worse. Best was 12/9.2. So, I ran every test known to man and the size was legit in all tests but it was still really slow. Absolutely frustrating after all of the waiting and hoping things would work only to find out they wouldn't. *sigh* So, I ended up taking the advice of other reviewers and ordered this Lexar card reader: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B088KCPBLM and since I had to wait on this replacement, I decided to use the reader to check my other SD cards in the meantime, and huh... a USB 3.0/3.1 in the A-port style had the best speeds across the board. Gave me hope when the replacement came in. Amazing. Sucks when used directly in the PC or hub but in the linked/branded adapter? Flies like a rocket. WOW. No other SD card (Micro, included) even came close to this and they were respectable! File transfers back and forth are surprisingly smooth and rather swift with the right connections to make it work. Transferred my Steam library to it in preparation for the Steam Deck, only to find out the Deck will end up formatting the card anyway, but at least it gave me a chance to put the card through its paces and it's done remarkably well. I'm sure the SanDisk Extreme is better and the reviews seem to support that, but this is roughly $30.00 cheaper (as of the time I bought it, not sure what the price is as of this review) and it does pretty much the same thing the SanDisk does. If you can actually get it delivered (*rolls eyes*) you'll be happy with it.

Picked this up for my Samsung S20 FE, and it’s been flawless. • No formatting required — it worked right out of the box. • Excellent value with tons of storage at a great price. • Fast and reliable performance for photos, videos, and app storage. Also, when it comes to SD cards, brand name really matters. Don’t risk your data with some cheap no-name option which I know there are plenty of on Amazon — you want something reliable, and Lexar, Samsung or Sandisk are great options that come to mind. I went with this one because it was on sale. Definitely recommend this one if you want dependable storage without overpaying.
