Will this fit a 17.3 hp laptop?

My HP Pavilion 17-g121wm (with the standard HP 17.3" screen) is 16.5" wide and just a touch over 11" deep. I figure it's going to work.

Would this work with a Surface4 pro

It fits my full size 15.6" widescreen laptop so there should be no problem with the Surface Pro 4.
