I bought this product in Target before and LOVED it. I was getting to close to needing a new one, so for convenience I ordered a new one off Amazon. I purchased the same color as I did before, dark brown. Something is very very wrong. At first glance I noticed the color of the powder seemed different than my store bought one, but thought maybe mine was just older? Mixed according to the directions ratio and no matter what I kept getting a ball of gel with the powder not dissolving. The color looked like honey, definitely not the dark brown I was used to. Against better judgement, I still tried to put the gel like substance on my eye brow and it would not stay. I then dug out my old one and compared the color of the powder, and despite the new bottle saying “dark brown,” it definitely WAS NOT. Since I was out of my original developer, I then tried to use my original powder with the new developer, this mixed normal, unlike the new powder. Placed it on my brows and let it sit for the required 10 minutes, even though usually I take it off sooner. It did NOTHING. Something is super off about this product, the color is obviously wrong and the developer doesn’t even work. Also I noticed my old powder has a topper on the bottle with little holes for dispensing, however the new one did not? I’m very confused. I want to return it but I am afraid Amazon will just resell it to someone else and I don’t want someone to go through the same thing! Buy it from a store if you can, because the real version works amazing.

Easy to use; can use more than once; i have light blonde eyebrows and this left them medium light brown. I tested it first with shorter leave on time, then the second time i did 10 minutes.

The developer is clear which, for some reason, threw me. But I gamely gave it a shot. My first attempt to mix ended up pretty sandy and thick (pic with red background). It was nearly impossible to use and I ended up just getting clear liquid on my brows (the sandy mix just stayed on the spoolie or fell off onto the counter) and I decided to try mixing a new batch. Surprisingly, while I was mixing the new batch I looked in the mirror and realized that the first attempt had left color! So my second batch I used a bit more developer and got a thinner, but still somewhat grainy texture (pic with part of the instructions under bowl). I’m used to coloring my hair and used to the colorant being a cream form and the resultant mixture is smoother. But at least this version was easier to spread. 10 minutes later, and it definitely left color. We’ll see how long it lasts! I will say the little spoolie was not optimal for application for me. I think I’ll use a stiff slanted brush next time for more precise control over where I’m applying the dye. Also, the instructions felt a little ambiguous to me. Pea-sized is harder to estimate when the developer is as liquidy as it was. And the 4:1 developer to colorant doesn’t really match the pea-sized developer to 2-3 scoops of color powder. That kind of ends up backwards (1:4). My second batch was closer to the 4:1 ratio but I used more developer (like a nickel-size) and that was a better consistency to work with. So I recommend that you go with the 4:1 direction rather than the pea-size to 2-3 scoops direction. Overall, I’m pleased with the results. I’m glad I gave it a second shot and with the 4:1 proportion.

I have coarse, dark brown eyebrows. I have been dyeing them for over 10 years to cover the gray hairs. Since I could not find the specific Godfrey kit I had been using, I decided to try this kit since Ardell is a known brand. The medium dark brown color is a nice shade that matches my natural brow shade. This kit is different and harder to use. The dye is a powder you shake out instead of a gel/cream. It is harder to determine the right quantity to use. The developer is a runny liquid instead of a cream, so it is harder to adhere to my brow hairs. Any errant application on the skin will temporarily stain, so I always apply at night so I can do a good exfoliation right away and again the next morning. My result is not as good coverage of the gray hairs. This dye does not last as long, requiring weekly application.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My New Go-To Brow Tint — Fast, Easy, and Actually Lasts! I’ve tried so many brow tint kits over the years, and this one instantly became my favorite. It’s way less messy than the others I’ve used, which already makes it a win, but the best part is how fast it works. Most brow tints make you sit there for 10 minutes… this one develops in about 2 minutes and the color comes out even and natural every time. Application is super easy — the formula doesn’t run, it stays where you put it, and it doesn’t stain the skin weirdly like some of the other brands I’ve tried. I also notice it lasts longer than most tints I’ve purchased, which means I don’t have to redo my brows as often. Sharing my pictures so you can see the before + after. For something that takes literally a couple of minutes, the results are surprisingly good. Highly recommend if you want something quick, clean, and reliable for your brows!

Good product! first time trying an eyebrow tint and it was incredibly easy to follow instructions

I have used this product for years. I ordered new one since I had used all of the developer. But something is very very wrong. I followed the directions but it would not ever actually mix. I kept getting clumps of powder because it was not dissolving. I still tried to put it on my brows but could not get it to stay. I have tried it 4 or 5 times with the same result. I just kept thinking that I just was not doing something correctly. But I have been doing it for years before running out and buying this one. The original worked great but something about this one has changed and it is not good at all.

This is alright for a brow tint. Lasts only a week. Easy to apply.

I did not like this product at all. The powder is messy to use and it did not mix well with the developer, it was lumpy no matter how much I mixed it. I got even more lumpy while I was trying to apply it. It did not cover grey as it advertised and it did not last even 2 weeks. I have used several brow tint product and this is the worst one. Would not recommend it at all. Unfortunately I missed the return window by two days so am stuck with this waste of money that I will have to throw out.
