These are great for the pint wide mouth Kilner jars when doing fermentation. Easy to assemble and easy to see if your fermentation is progressing. I personally like them better than the nipple tops, although the latter are easier to use. I've bought two sets and would buy again.

These are just the job for home fermentation. Regarding the jars that they fit: I have Ball brand wide mouth jars and they fit perfectly. Indeed, the seller's description states that they fit Ball jars. They also advise that they are for 86mm (8.6cm) wide outer diameter mouth. So I suggest that people check the measurement of their jars before ordering. I found that the thread on one was a little rough the first time I put it on a jar, but afterwards it went on smoothly.

So on a positive note the lids are very well made, it’s a great set with everything you’d want and with a few spares like extra seals in there too. On the down side they don’t fit my Kilner jars. So I then bought a “wide mouthed” Kilner jar, the one with the plastic thing to lift the pickles out, and that’s too big. I’ve included photos of the lid comparison and the instructions so you can do it the other way around. Measure your jar openings and if they’re the right size, buy these. If not, consider buying the jars with these already in built into the lids, that way you know they’ll fit. I see myself doing a lot of fermenting so I’ll hold onto these just in case I buy some jars in the future that are the right size (not found any yet, not even the Mason Jars themselves of a suitable size)

Easy to use, works well for wide mouth kilner jars. Don’t ram the airlock in hard, you could cut the bung on the metal lid, and then not get an air right seal. Happily there are spare bungs included!

These lids are too wide to fit most Mason jars so no good for what I needed,

Absolutely useless. Avoid at all costs. The lids are too big to fit any wide mouth jars I have and I have several brands. Totally not fit for purpose

Hallo Nutzer prüft den Metallhaltering. Es gibt wenig Gläser mit der notwendigen Gewindehöhe. Die Gärdichtung baut 2-3mm auf. Standard Deckel gehen nicht!! Nur bestellen mit der gleichen Anzahl Schraubringe.

Came packaged well and easy to put together. The caps are a little hard to get off, but other than that I think had less growth of anything else on top of the brine than when using a coffee filter. The lid seals are great and just don't fill jar so high that you can't get the stem of the airlock to seal into the o-ring in the center. You can use the lid center o-ring cap to seal it and put in fridge if want. But I just use my regular mason jar lids. Liked them enough to buy a 2nd set.

Works well it's just the lids. Allows gas exchange without letting (supposedly) any contaminants in. I went with Kmart 1L jars like another review suggested and it fit well. Seems to vent properly with sachromyces boulardi which produces a lot of CO2.
