Klean Kanteen Food Box Set

Rather expensive but works perfectly and is of medium-thick stainless steel that is pleasant to look at and has nice feel. I wanted to have a nice set of stainless steel lunch boxes for picnics. After looking at many similarly-expensive options (why are stainless steel lunch boxes so expensive when cutlery isn't?) I settled for Kleen Kanteen boxes. Have several Kleen Kanteen flasks that are good quality and no-leak. Have not tested these boxes for leak-proofness but I would not put liquids in them even though they look like they seal well. Totally dishwasher proof. Thought the lids with the funny flaps and pins would be fiddly and weird but they work just fine and are easy to open and shut. The tricolor look is a bit loud - would prefer neutral matching color, but otherwise am very pleased with this set.

Reusable food and drink containers are how I roll: for work lunches, trail snacks, food prepped for camp meals, picnics, and everyday storage needs. These are the best I’ve owned.Please note: the roadside lunch photo attached includes a mix of brands. The Klean Kanteen large box is center top, and the medium is lower right. I have since gotten rid of the rest and purchased a second set of three Klean Kanteen food boxes.- This set stacks wonderfully! No wasted space from round containers, or stacked boxes sliding off domed lids. The sizes are great for a typical soft-sided lunch box, and also fit efficiently in coolers.- The silicon-gasketed lids are easy to burp and seal and to open again, using a wider, flexible flange in one corner. (My discarded internally gasketed boxes with top vent flaps soon defied opening the due to my arthritis, and other metal boxes were not leak proof at all.) *Just remember to fasten and unfasten the little silicone tabs from the pegs on the sides!*- The sizes are great for a substantial meal, a sandwich or side salad, and between meal snacks.- The steel is of high quality and has a pleasing matte finish.- The silicon seal colors are nice.- ***No Plastic, for the win!!!***As to the question of whether or not these store nested…to a degree. The afore mentioned pegs on two sides that add a measure of security to the silicon vacuum seal stop them from nesting tightly, but they nest better than others I’ve owned. See the second photo. (The medium boxes aren’t nested because I pulled them from fridge duty for the photo.)Not microwaveable, of course, but to tote hot foods, check out the brand’s insulated lunch containers.Highly recommend the Klean Kanteen food box set.

I purchase after another EWG review. I only wash by hand. Very durable. Safe to use.

Love this set, high quality, easy to clean, looks like it will last a long time. Goodbye plastic storage!

Compared to other brands out there, it can be a drawback but after learning about the company and how responsible they are when it comes to environmental issues, this is a no-brainer. I love carrying my lunch in the box set and it's super easy to clean. Also, keeps food at a good temp if you don't have access to a microwave for work. Highly recommend.

These look great and are solid but getting the tops on and off is a hassle for me. Its fine overall but it just feels tedious to use. Also not great for everyday use because you cant see whats in them and I forget. Thats jsut me but Amazon asked.

Pensé que las tazas servían para mantener frías o calientes la comida, sin embargo no es así. Simplemente son tazas. Me siento decepcionada de la compra que realice, ya que el producto no satisface mis necesidades.

Nada fuera de lo común, buenos materiales, pero tampoco son los últimos que comprarás, el que no se puedan meter al micro es un punto menos, por lo que se tienen que guardar cosas que no vas a calentar directamente

Quality of steel is good, lid works well. Very easy to eat with and wash. Have not tried with soups and liquids.

Great quality as can be expected from Klean Kanteen. Just wish they have a slightly bigger option.
