Worth Long Handled Uproot Weed Remover
This weed tool is similar to the Weed Hound by Hound Dog. My neighbor has the Hound Dog and it works incredibly well. I wanted the same one but it appears it is no longer available. I searched and this item came up after a week or so. For some reason it did not come up in the original searches. I have used both the Hound Dog and this Worth item and I also compared it to the Hound Dog, side by side. The Hound Dog appears to be built a little better, it has a better brace at the foot, has 6 spines rather than the 5 on the Worth, and the Hound Dog is a bit heaver. The length of the spines on the Worth is the same as the Hound Dog. Although spines on the Hound Dog appear to be a little stronger but so far no issue with the Worth. After trying the Worth weeder, I find it works much like the Hound Dog. It pulls the weeds well on a normal lawn (not a dry surface). I was able to pull large as well as smaller dandelion weeds with no issue. Obviously using it on really dry soil would be more difficult, makes sense to use it when the soil has enough moisture to easily push into the ground. I was able to pull some crab grass, where it was easy to spot the center. This tool also makes it easy to pick up weeds from the surface that dropped off the initial pull or loosely sitting on the ground. Basically you never need to lean down to pick a week up, just aim the tool into a bucket or collection bin and press on the top round handle and the mechanism releases the weed. This certainly is easier on my back, I can gather as many weeds as I have time to remove and don't get a sore back.Pulling a weed with this tool does create a small hole in the lawn as it pulls a plug out around the weed. The hole is small but I did notice that they remain noticeable for a couple weeks. Could fill them in with a little dirt but I don't think it is necessary and the hole acts much like an aeration plug which is good for the lawn. Removing weeds is very easy with this tool. But you do need to hit the center of the weed, if you miss then you have to try again, which means a second hole. But if you miss you can put the plug back into the hole using the tool, The tool does allow easy manipulation of a weed or plug. The pressing of the lever on top to release the weed does require a good hit and this can start to wear down your palm after a large number of weeds. But I find it less of an issue over the old Hound Dog. Wearing a pair of work gloves does alleviate the pressure on the palm. Also, I found you really don't have to hit it hard, you can press on it till it releases but it is a little slower.I also own the Fiskar 3 claw weed remover. I bought this several years ago and it does not work well on small weeds, only very large dandelions. I found it too much of a hassle to use. This Worth tool is many times better and easy to use. You can make a serious dent on dandelion weeds in your lawn in short time using this tool.I think the overall quality is ok, not a good as the Hound Dog but close. I'll report back if anything falls apart but I think it is worth the cost.

Excellent sturdy tool with one major flaw that is easily fixed
Very easy to use and a fast way to remove weeds and quickly discharge weeds from tool. The basic tool is all steel and sturdy. Just press it into the ground with your foot, twist the handle and pull up the weed. I have even quickly picked up to 4 weeds before discharging them. That is the good news.My Complaint - the knob used to release the weed is a very cheap, flimsy , hollow two part knob - that broke off!!My advice buy the tool, and buy a solid knob that will screw into the threaded rod and you will get lots of service from this item

I would definitely recommend this product.
This product is very well made. It does what it says it will do. I like that it has no plastic parts, its all metal. Many times you will have to physically remove the weed it just pulled out if it takes the dirt with it. The dirt keeps it from releasing. Try not to get a lot of dirt when you pull it out by not inserting it all the way to the bottom. Do not get another weed puller if it does NOT have a release button. You will get very tired of having to pull the weed from the extractor. I recommend pulling the largest weeds first - the largest weeds allow the roots to wrap around it, thereby pulling out more of the roots and weed, plus it allows the extractor to just release the whole weed immediately when you press the lever, instead of just part of it requiring you to pull out the rest by hand. By pulling the largest ones first, you will also feel that you are making bigger progress. Pulling the little ones, you'll never get finished. I also wear gloves to keep the release lever from hurting my hands.

It's great for small weed jobs.
Item is solid, sturdy, and easy to use. It uses good materials and has the best feature of dislodging your weed after pulling it with a lever so you never have to bend down. The only downside to this item and might be the deal breaker is that it's not "great" at extracting large weeds like crab grass (it'll take more than one try). It has nails instead of large steel hinges for extracting which may be the issue. Other than that, it works great for easy small jobs.

Works well, easy to use and seems to be made out of durable steel
I’ve been using it on partially wet soil and it has been working really well for me. Minimal dirt is lifted and the root of the weed comes right out. Happy with purchase so far. Also easy to clean using a hose

Good Quality Tool
This is a good quality tool, that is sturdy and performs well. Wet soil can be hard to release and requires some firm taps, but overall I am happy with the purchase. It does remove those stubborn weeds.

Addictive
Easy to pull out weeds without bending over. My yard looks like a moonscape however the grass will grow into the patches. Very addictive!

Ok for the price but buy a better one if you have the budget!
I’d probably recommend spending a bit more and getting a branded version of this tool. It works but I had to dose the whole thing in WD40 as metal scraped on metal when I first tried to use it. The top knob fell off a few times and the foam on the handle isn’t glued on so that keeps coming off and moving too. Once I’d sorted all these things then yes, it works fine and definitely better than trying to dig weeds out with a sprong or small fork. But better versions exist.
