So far, I love these mats they are just what I needed at a few spots on my butcher block counters. I wanted work surfaces and a surface where I could place something cold from the fridge or hot from the microwave or stove. I would never try to put horribly hot cast iron on them or use them as a cutting board, so they are perfect for me and they look good in the kitchen, sort of unobtrusive. As I said, I have butcher block counters, teak, and I didn't want a bright color to stand out in my kitchen. I got dark brown and they are visible but not in your face.

It’s only been a week but I really like them. I keep one on each side of my stove at all times. I wish they were a little more clear but I can still see some pattern on my countertop so it’s ok. I don’t put hot things on my counter without a trivet so I can’t say how well these mats are for that, but they protect from scratches and potential stains. They are not sticky, and so far they have been easy to clean.

These sit so nicely on the bench compared to the acrylic one that I used to have. These protect against scratching and stains in regularly used areas like where you use chopping boards, serve dinner and tea/coffee. I thought I would be putting these away all the time but they look so good they stay on my bench. This has also saved my bench where hubby makes coffee in the morning as he never wipes it up straight away. Great product overall.
