Hands Down The Best I have found.
Hands down the best tool for putting on/removing socks that I have found. I have used various tools for putting on and removing socks for years. Some of the others with the rope handles, have caused me rope burn and are difficult to load. This has a much easier loading and handling design. What used to take me 10-15 minutes is down to 5. A significant time savings day in and day out.In terms of compression socks, the device once again doesn't disappoint. It handles putting them on with ease, and the sock removal portion is substantial enough that there really isn't a struggle getting them off either. The fact that I can adjust the length of the tools by adding/removing segments has been a real plus. I recently used the tool to put on a pair of thick compression socks for work, my older tools would struggle with them. This device, handled it like a pro.The only possible concern I have come across is when traveling. In terms of packing, because everything collapses down, packing and unpacking is a breeze. The issue I had when traveling was due to the height of the furniture in the room. At home, I can sit reasonably high with my foot off the ground, traveling, that is more difficult and so I had some issues putting on compression socks in that scenario. It is possible that having the 2 handle version would have helped, but I don't know. However, since traveling, I have discovered that the tool is sturdy enough that I can put on socks standing up so I am not sure how that will change things. I haven't traveled again to try it. I will also add that this design creates almost no friction on my heel when putting on socks, whereas with the other style, I would occasionally need to use something like a foot spray to help get socks on due tot he amount of friction when using my older tools. This makes it easier to keep medicines/lotions in place and simplifies what I need to pack for each trip. This tool has been a great find.

Great For Those Who Had Hip Replacement Surgery
I bought this for a dear friend who had hip replacement surgery. As he was going through the healing process, he needed some help to regain his independence. Putting socks on and taking them off was becoming more of a challenge, so I bought this after reading reviews. He told me it really made a difference for him, and made a simple chore that was difficult so much easier. He said it worked perfectly.

It works well!
This sock aide works pretty well as it holds the sock open to put your foot into, if you are unable to bend your knee and or hip. I used this sock aide after knee replacement surgery, and it worked well for that purpose, I think better then the old sock aides that are not able to hold open tight fitting sock openings wide enough to get your foot into the sock that one is donning. It's all plastic and a little clumsy feeling, but once one figures how to put it together, it does the job.

Made for children only.
I'm guessing this is made for children only.I got the largest size and my granddaughter's feet were too big for it.My granddaughter has size 6 (EU size 36) and even her feet were too big.I thought the concept was a good idea but unfortunately it just isn't practical. It's complicated to set it up and even more difficult to use. Then it just does not fit any normal sized adult feet.

For small feet
I managed to get it to work on my EE feet by reversing the blades to lean out, not in as directed. The rigid handle required me to stand and maneuver my foot into the sock. Foot and tool don't line up too well. The grooved platform was painful to slide my foot over. Pulling the tool up to stretch the sock over my foot was also painful as the blades and grooves scraped my foot. I'm going to try some duct tape to smooth the grooves. I really can't recommend this style of "sock installer". I'm going to consider the assist with ropes to pull the sock tool on. The ropes will adjust to the angle of my foot better than this rigid tool, I hope.UPDATE: I was using the helper incorrectly. I watched the video a few more times paying attention to how the sock is placed. I was placing the sock under the platform instead of on it and then placing the sock around the grips. I still felt the grooves but not near as painful as earlier. Once I had that worked out the device worked ok tho' it is still awkward with the unbendable handle. I removed the upper section and that helped but it's easier to put the sock on while standing. I've not used the rope models so I can't compare the 2 methods. So it's better now but I can't give it an enthusiastic thumbs up.

IS THERE ANYTHING BETTER TO HELP? NO
This product is for people who is suffering with lower back pain, with THAT PAIN you are not able to bend over I just want to thank you the person who make this product. In my own experience with the lower back pain you feel like worthles because you find out you just CAN"T put your socks on - you just can't and you need ask someone to help you. This is just awsome beacause if nobody is around to help you - you can do it by yourself. Even you need to think how to do it because of pain but you will do it and there you will sit with your socks on you and feel like a winner. This is just not about lower back, there are more about your body / etc. surgery rotation cuff ....../ that you are not able to put socks on. Live saver! People who is in normal health condition they can't understand what this is about. Just saying. I don't have any picture of proof because that was not important to me - I just won the first price that I did it by myself.

IT WORKS! IT'S A LIFE CHANGER & SAVER
lOVE this - it works like a charm if you put it together correctly - watch the video carefully.A great and thoughtful gift for anyone who has trouble putting their socks on, not necessarily for seniors but anyone with back issues and just can't bend to get socks on. I'm a senior with R/A and some lower back and spine issues and couldn't my socks on - can't bend left or right or lift my legs to get socks on.I recommend just leaving it set up and it should last a long time. This sock horse is a life changer and saver. The version with the shorter handle works as well as this one does.Thank you so much to the person who invented this.
