A fun, one-day project
This is a lot of fun!I soldered the leads to an inexpensive Bluetooth receiver/amp, and tried pressing it against everything in my basement and many things upstairs, just to see what it could do. It was ridiculous and fun. After spending a while goofing off, I cut a slab of styrofoam packaging material (a.k.a. expanded polystyrene, I believe) and smoothed it down. I attached the BT amp and this audio exciter to it, cabled a USB power brick into a switched outlet, and hung it over my workbench. Now I pull a chain to turn on the outlet, and my phone immediately starts playing music while I work. For the few dollars I spent on this thing, I love it!

Fun for projects and stuff.
Oh yeah. They are tiny, but place them on the right stuff and they fully come alive. I bought a small Bluetooth amp to use these with and made the panels out of foam insulation and they sound awesome. Super highs tho. Definitely want to run a sub of some sort with them. But really fun to mess around with regardless.

Great sound
Connecterd to a Wurzhi Audio ZK-MT21. It's great to explore what materials give the best sound quality. Cardboard seemed pretty good

they have good power handling and don't buzz or rattle
If you are unaware of how tiny 13mm is, take out a tape measure and look at. For their size, they have good power handling and don't buzz or rattle. I would recommend them for small applications. I mounted two of these exciters inside some old violin bodies that I had around, and they make for some very interesting speakers. They don't sound great for anything but violin music, but they are great for that!
