Too expensive. I’ve been using this for a while, but at nearly $30 with tax, the price has become hard to justify what it offers. I’m now looking for a more reasonably priced alternative.

Medium high fade with side part (#2 on the sides, 2-3inches on top) After a shower I blow dry my hair 90%. I apply a nickel-size amount, throughout (starting at roots; scrunching my hands as I remove them), then I loosely comb my hair how I style it. Next, I hit it with the blow dryer to finish the last 10% of dampness & add volume. Lastly, I give it a final comb to put it back to how I style it, take a penny size amount and run my fingers thru followed by patting, pressing, and assuring every hair is where I want it. Occasionally, I will hit it 3 small sprays of a high quality aerosol hairspray when I know it's going to be long day (I like my hair to stay in place without looking, or feeling, like a shiny helmet). My hair still has hold to it at the end of the day. You may feel like your hair is extra gritty at the end of the day/ next morning, but it washes out SO MUCH BETTER than Cremo, AC, BedHead, Suavacito, and similar ones. It has been my favorite product for the past 2 months. The price is STEEP, but it goes a long way. I style my hair 4-5 days a week and I am just now down to a few days left.

I enjoy this product because too many pastes and creams are greasy and honestly just not practical if you actually have a job and can’t look at and fix your collapsing and greasy hair every ten seconds. I can put this in, style my hair, give it a quick burst of hairspray, and it’s good for the day. The hold is actually firm, meaning this product makes your hair slightly firm. Not crunchy or crispy, but firm and moveable. I have fine hair, so I need something that actually HOLDS instead of just greasing up my head. I applied it to blow-dried hair, and it actually held pretty well in my medium-length hair, although shorter hair will have better results. I think you get more of a medium hold when you apply it to slightly damp hair. It has a minty and slight medicinal smell to it that I really like. It’s not super heavy, like American Crew Fiber tends to be. However, it’s quite tacky, so it can grab and pull on your hair as you apply it, so don’t apply it to bone-dry hair. It also feels clean, which is great. It washes out of hair easily as well. The jar is comically small, but you get a decent amount of product in there. Other reviewers complain about the jar size but they don’t realize that most other jarred products are shorter and flatter, with walled sides...so it just looks like you’re getting more because the container is larger.

Strong stuff. Can re do hair throughout the day and still holds. Can put it in wet hair and comb through. Gives a wet look if you use enough. Washes out clean. No knots like the other stuff I've tried.

First, I love the scent, the feel of it in my hands, and love what it does to my hair. If it could stay like that consistently for longer than 4 hours, that would be great. Unfortunately, I feel that I have to use an excessive amount of the paste and TRESemmé Extra Hold Hair Spray to keep my hair how I want it over the course of a full day outside. I work indoors in an office, but I do bike to and from work and to do all my chores, and I go to the gym. As much as I love this paste, I really can’t recommend it outside of 4-hour max exclusively sedentary events. I’ve gotten far better performance, personally, from American Crew pomade.

Been using this for many years. Absolutely love this brand and this is the best hair product for medium short hair i have every used!
