I do a lot of camping and finding food to take is always a pain, especially if your gluten free, tins are too heavy, freeze dried takes too long to cook and fresh, well…These pouches however are great, tough packaging so won’t leak in your pack and easy to dispose off, weighing 250g each also means you can pack quite a few in. They also have a long shelf life, mine came with 11 months before expiring.So….what do they taste like? Gotta say I was really impressed, the chilli beats that well known brand in the tin sold in the supermarkets hands down, this is tasty! Only thing I could fault it on is there’s a lot of kidney beans.Chicken Tikka, very nice, five stars.Will I buy them again and try the other flavours? Definitely!These are perfect for camping 👍

These are the only ambient temperature ready meals that I like as I am fussy about food. Used to make a special trip to Waitrose to buy these but they now only stock the Bolognese flavour. Great for camping or campervan trips as can cook in the microwave or on the hob. The chilli is mild, good with jacket potatoes or rice, slightly sloppy so needs a bowl not plate. The sauce on the chicken tikka is great if again mild but this one is lacking in meat so I tend to add some cooked chicken chunks to improve. These do taste like actual food rather than preservatives and have a long shelf life so they're worth the price for this purpose. Not sure that I would buy as a standard ready meal for times when I had a reliable fridge but really good for this purpose.
