This brush is incredibly smoothing, but also gives great body. It seems to allow my hair to flow more naturally into soft glossy waves. It really helps to restore both shine and definition if you have frizzy hair. My hair not only looks nicer but feels noticeably softer after brushing. It’s a great brush! For context, I have hip length type 2a-ish henna treated hair prone to frizz, and I don’t usually heat style or blow dry my hair. I can’t use heavy protein treatments because of henna, but I like my hair best when I use either Olaplex shampoo and conditioner or Redken acidic bonding shampoo and conditioner, and then finish and detangle with Aussie miracle moist deep conditioner (cheaper than the other products so you can use more without spending a fortune) before my final rinse, and then use this brush when my hair is nearly or completely dry.

Kent brand hairbrushes are amongst the best quality made. The boar hair bristles are gentle on your hair, yet adept at working through knots. The handles are easy to grip. These hair brushes last for many years. Well worth the money.

I’ve ordered this brush when I saw is made in UK, and it’s good; quality and price. While I was blowing dry my hair I liked how the brush was working on the hair. But I want to recommend you that if you want a perfect blow dry hair besides the brush is important to have a good blow dryer also. At the end I recommend this brush for its natural fibres that it has made. I made a good choice.

I love Kent brushes! They are well made and nice to use. They are a little pricey, but they will be the last brush you buy!

The quality is good, nice balance. I have very thick hair though and it won't get all the way thru, just brushes the surface hair. Perhaps the bristles are too soft for my hair.

I have fine hair, and any brush I've used that has plastic tips snags and breaks my hair. This brush does NOT have those plastic tips! It works beautifully for blow-drying. My fine hair is just below shoulder length, I bought the largest diameter brush. My hair wraps around the brush with no trauma -no snarls, no breakage. My hair is left soft, wavy, full of body and shine. I have noticed that a few bristles have fallen out of the brush, but nothing major, no "holes" left in brush. And I'd rather have a few bristles fall out of the brush, than have my hair yanked out of my head! Wonderful brush for fine hair!

I have looked a long time on various sites for a brush exactly like this. Didn't know if they were made any more. This is great for my waist length 79 year old hair. Helps curl and wave so it is more managable

I purchased this brush because I have another boar bristle brush that really needed to be retired. I have slightly longer hair than shoulder length but it has thinned and it is naturally curly. I prefer to blow it dry so it looks smooth and straight but bouncy. This brush catches my hair and tangles it. It also leaves me with tremendous frizz which I wasn’t prepared for as my other brush is the exact opposite. I did not return it as I wanted to work with it more. Boo Hoo! I see so many positive reviews here but I would not recommend this brush to anyone. If you’re considering spending nearly $30 on a boar bristle brush I’d shop around more.

Been using this for a while. Its big, much larger than you expect. But, its generally OK quality. It's shed a few bristles but not too many and now it's settled in, it's fine. It's good for the hair, hardly any static and does give a bit of volume and spring.

I used to use a brush like this when I was a kid. I think in those days all brushes were pure bristle. My hair is very fine now and subject to awful static. However, since throwing away my plastic bristle brush and using this I haven't had any static at all. Someone said that they found it hard to get the bristles through the hair and it felt as if it was slipping. I experienced this too - but with practice and separating thehair into layers, it works fine. Unlike the plastic, hard bristles you don't feel the impact on the scalp so much, but it's definitely getting through. I also enjoy brushing my hair forward from the roots at night before I go to bed. My hair looks shinier and thicker since I started using this brush. Very pleased and wish I'd got one years ago.
