Amazon Basics Pop-Up Canopy Tent - 10' x 10', Blue

As a teacher, a coach and a father, I am pretty familiar with pop up canopies. Whether it is camping, a sporting event or just a party/BBQ in the back yard, these pop up tents are a must (especially in 100+ degree weather here). This was purchased as a replacement for our current pop up that had seen better days. There are tons of options out there for pop up canopies from the cheap (both in price and quality) to the expensive with varying styles and features. I decided to try this one mainly because it was priced well and being that it was AmazonBasics I felt more comfortable that Amazon would stand behind it.Let's talk canopy size and leg styles. The two main kind of leg styles are slant and straight. Pretty straight forward, slant legs angle out, straight legs are perpendicular to the ground. Straight legs make it easier to put tents right next to each other, against walls, etc. Slant legs are much more common and give you a wider base. I prefer a bit of slant as it is common to tilt one side of the canopy to get better shade with the angle of the sun. In my experience the slant legs make the canopy less likely to tip over in these situations. The slant on this canopy is just right, not straight but not extreme. HOWEVER, be wary as some canopies have an extreme slant on their legs. This not only makes it difficult to get near things but usually cheats the canopy size. For example, a company may advertise as a 10x10 canopy but they are measuring leg base and when the slant is taken into account the actual canopy is MUCH smaller. That is another reason why I went with AmazonBasics. They very clearly tell it like it is. This is 96sf of shade which if you do the math means the canopy is approximately 9.8 ft each side. This means it is pretty close to a true 10x10 canopy. My advice is to stay clear of any canopy that is not absolutely clear on how big the canopy is because 10x10 is a vary vague term with this product.NOTE: The canopy comes separated from the frame and must be secured to the frame when you put it up the first time. However, after the first installation it is easy to take the canopy down and put it back up without removing the canopy. This will save tons of time and effort!

If they could make the price even lower, i'd buy them by the dozen, lol.These are good quality pop-up tent like the E-Z up brands. Got this "used" for more price savings and it came in mint condition. I'd make sure they are weighted down or spiked if you use it all summer in the backyard. So far in heavy rains they shed the water nicely and so far it hasn't taco'ed like cheaper tents. Not sure if the bright blue color is UV resistant, but had this for a couple months outside and so far looks ok.I would take the the tent down (as most tents) during heavy winds, hail, and winter (doh.!)

I'll give this tent 4 stars for a few reasons. So I needed one of these tents, and ordered this off Amazon expecting the best.Only to come to realize I needed a second one, but wouldn't have the time to buy/ship a second one from Amazon so I went and got the similarly priced one from Walmart (brand unknown). Although the other one is not "Walmart" brand I will call it Walmart canopy for illustrative purposes and comparison.Packaging:Amazon 8/10 - Amazon's canopy is package in a blue zipper bag that zips along the side. It makes it extremely easy to place the canopy bag in the bag, stuff the tarp in and close the bag back up. Only issue is the lack of wheels.Walmart 6/10 - Walmart canopy came in a black zipper bag that had a zipper around the circumference at the base... Extremely strange location. Had to slide the bag over the canopy, flip the canopy over then pull the bottom over. Worst aprt was, it was so small/tight it was nearly impossible to stuff the tarp in. Plus side was it had wheelsMetal frame:Amazon 10/10: Absolutely phenomenal metal frame. Strong, sturdy, well put together. Straight legs worked really well ( I hate angled ones) plus the adjustable height system worked well in unison with setting it upWalmart 4/10: The frame seemed weak. The metal seemed cheap. It was supposed to be a "straight-leg" tent but the only way the tent stayed standing was when the legs were angled out. The locking system was kind of terrible, and you could almost squeeze the betal bars to the point of bending.Tarp on top:Amazon 3/10: Here's where Amazon lost most of it's points (and the star). So the material of the tarp is great. Fits well, stretches over the canopy well.... HOWEVER IT DOESN'T HAVE STRAPS. This thing, doesn't have any Velcro straps, or literally ANYTHING to attached the top to the metal frame. I supposed the stretching of the material and the snug fit SHOULD hold the top on, but I had to endure 35 mph winds (needles to say, I chased that tarp down at least 5 times). Also, when it rained, it stayed tight and didn't pool up... at first. Then the moment it rained heavily, the tarp fell off. The worst.Walmart: 8/10 - Walmart's top was similar quality, similar fit, and had the Velcro straps. Never had to chase it down. Only issue was when it rained, it sagged a bit and water pooled up, but because of the straps it didn't fall off when the pools formed.Overall, I don't know how I feel about this thing. If I could make a suggestion it would be get this frame and like Ziptie the top down, or buy a new top to go over the frame. I would suggest this over the similarly priced Walmart one; however, only with a new top.

Very easy to set up, and lightweight. The case has wheels to make it easier to move as well.

Most importantly it is very easy to assemble, the quality is awesome , i am using it to cover my sedan at my office space and it is pretty much helpful protecting the car from the sun. Thank you amazon.

Montage facile à condition d être 2 ... seul c’est quand même une galère .L armature métallique est d’assez bonne qualité, à voire avec le temps ! Pour ma part b ai dû la monter et démonter 4 fois cet été et elle n a pas bougé toujours comme neuve ! Lorsqu on la replie elle se range dans son sac de transport, pourvu de roulette, je ne m en suis pas servi car je ne l ai pas déplacé mais je le vois comme un plus pour une éventuelle picnique avec des enfants très jeunes ou des seniors quand même plus à l aise à l ombre .Je recommande donc ce produit !

To start with it arrived the next day after ordering and in tip-top condition, a good seller, had it up and running in five mins. you do need two people at least to put it up it`s really well made not cheap looking at all you can put it down on your own if needs must I like it very much, should last for years if looked after. It`s 2022 now and still in excellent condition and going strong, one of my best purchases from Amazon.
