Sexy Beast VI Paperback – April 1, 2009

This book was very good

Sexy and thrilling just like all of the sexy beast books. Bought this book to help a friend out that was missing three from her collection, but I read all three of them prior to handing them over to her. A great read.

Love it. Kate Douglas is a great author, and her Wolf Tales series are awesome. Can't get enough of them.

Many of Kate Douglas' books refers to Sexy Beast books. I'm glad you still have some copies. Thank you very much.

Awesome. Recommend reading all of the Wolf Tales series, which include the novellas in the Sexy Beast anthologies and one in Wlid Dreams antholigy.

Next we are treated to "Wings of the Swan", a solid historical with a sweet shifter tale. Finally, the hot "Animal Instinct" with more twists and a mystery. Kate Douglas' "Chanku Honor" was an excellent read as always. She touches on how many folks have Chanku genes, but don't know it, as she introduces us to a group of teens & early 20-somethings. These young people will no doubt spin-off into their own pack, as they have their own loyalty - once they're shown the ropes of what it means to be a Chanku shapeshifter by well-loved characters Mik, AJ & Tala.In "Wings of The Swan" by Anya Howard, I enjoyed the take on the Swan Maiden myth, especially as it went the Norse mythos route. However, Inga's quick 180 from being a quiet but seemingly secure daughter of Freya to a love-slave irked me. Hot sex, but characterization just felt a bit off - I was enjoying the other human women in the story more than the heroine.Onto "Animal Instinct" by Lydia Parks. This was a good read. Again, mythological beasties thought dead & gone. I liked the heroine, and the hero as well. I would hope the author will delve into his Shapeshifting background more in future books/novellas.Overall, the ONLY reason I got this book, and would recommend it - is for the next chapter of the Chanku saga. Otherwise, I would have saved my money.

Her inquiry leads to Siberia where she works with shapeshifting Russian detective Nikolai, whom she is attracted to but fears he knows more than he is telling her about the predator.These hot erotic paranormal romances are entertaining tales though the novella format never enables the full loving relationships to gel to the point that the fantasy elements seem real. Still series fans will relish the latest "Sexy Beast" torrid tales as once again the heat is on amidst the mystical legends.Harriet Klausner
