Safety 1st OutSmart Multi Use Lock, White

We bought these to keep our toddler out of the trash and they work great. These are a great product and I highly recommend them.

It's super simple to install and has held up for 2 years so far! It is dingy now and the rubber is peeling slightly, but it's still adhered and holds strong! In fact, the toddler of the house now uses it as a handle to climb the fridge. After 2 years he hasn't figured out how exactly to open it, so it's still upholding its purpose. It's operable with 1 hand, as promised.

The lock fell off the bowl of the toilet within a few weeks due to the high humidity of the shower.I’ve installed several tile shower shelves recently and the standard for those is to use double sided tape that is sealed with silicone to prevent moisture intrusion. I thought that might be the same reason why many reviews here say it falls off after some time.After mine fell off, I removed the existing double-sided tape and reapplied new double-sided tape. After pressing this to the bowl, I sealed it with silicone caulking. It has now been several months and the lock is still firmly adhered.

This lock is the only one that falls away when unlocked. It is easy to install and prevents accidental opening for children and adults. Our exterior upright freezer tends to open or remain open, resulting in a total content loss. This system has prevented this from ever happening again. I gifted family members and friends this Safety 1st OutSmart Multi-Use Lock because I want them to get the right lock system.

These work great for my closet and dresser drawers. Make sure to follow instructions and to hold down while installing to the wall. I didn’t wait white long enough while holding and now I have a few that don’t stick but that is my own fault. The others have been sticking great and doing their job keeping my son safe from pinched fingers. I’ve purchased white a few times. This product might even be grandma/grandpa/dad proof too 🤣

You really have to pinch hard with your fingers to get it to open, so it's not always easy to do, especially if your hands are full

I bought these as a replacement for the same model, which I purchased four years ago. The latch, which I used on my refrigerator door, finally gave out. Considering that out refrigerator gets opened and closed at least ten times per day, that's about 15,000 latchings and unlatchings before it finally broke.This works best when the two pieces are mounted "around a corner from each other". I tried putting one on my pantry door, with one end attached to the door and the other end attached across the trim, on the wall. That didn't hold well at all.Hints -1. The end that's attached to the strap is on a swivel, and will drop down and away from the door when unlatched. This is a great feature. Make sure you have room for it to fall and dangle freely.2. The adhesive is very strong. Make sure you have it lined up where you want it before sticking it on. You won't get a second chance.

Works great. We bought because the garage freezer door would randomly unseal and open and this seemed like a cheaper option than actually looking into the problem. Grandpa keeps getting fooled by the decoy button and it’s kind of funny and has kept our ice cream more secure. It is actually really easy to open for adults though, the decoy button just seems like a reflex to push sometimes and then you remember.

Works well on fridge. Having a very inquisitive toddler, this worked well. Our now 3 year old still can’t open it, but our 5 year old can use it, which is fine as she knows to ask and to close the fridge after!Has worked well and is easy to install.Has stood up well to multiple uses daily.

After trying three different kinds of Child proof locks only to be unable to open them as an adult and therefore not use them to another lot that as I put them on the two year old came behind me and undid them to the inability of the two year old to open the Safety 1st Outsmart locks to the ease of use as adults and therefore more compliance on behalf of the adults to use them is well worth the added expense.

Toddler hasn’t figured it out and was easy to install!
