Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles Enhanced Edition (PS5)

I started playing 'Yonder' just recently, and it was so good, indeed it was very "relaxing" as claimed, and so I played it for the best part of 2 days. Then on the 3rd day I tried to load my save game, but instead I received a message on the PS5 stating that the "save data deleted due to corruption". I desperately tried to find my 'saves' but they had all disappeared, and that just left me immensely frustrated, especially considering the extreme efforts I had gone to building up a substantial 'collection of collectibles'. So I decided to 'google' the game, and I discovered that the internet is 'awash' with exactly the same experience literally from 1000s of other gamers. So my frustration rapidly became anger! Some people tried to give advice to reduce the risk of corruption, but all of it was very poor advice, and most relied on the PS5 NOT being turned off at any point during the game, IF anyone actually wanted to complete the game, despite the fact that it would take a minimum of 30/40 hours! Even then apparently the quality deteriorated approx. 25% of the way into the game, and the 'advice' always is to 'save' frequently, including saving to the 'cloud', but all of the advice revealed that there was absolutely no guarantee of the game actually saving at all, and the end result was reliably disastrous. So the Game is fantastic, but virtually impossible to finish successfully, or even get beyond a quarter of the way! This has been the situation literally for years, so why is the Game still being sold in this condition? Amazon and every other vendor should refuse to sell this Game, and even be obliged to refund everyone who has bought it. Surely this Game should be subject to basic Trading Standards rules and Laws, and should be completely banned from sale until the fault is corrected reliably. I do indeed want a refund.

The only game I've ever had from PlayStation (had 3, 4 and 5) that saves data then refuses to load the next time owing to data corruption which is a shame as game is relaxing but starting from beginning each time is tedious. If data saved would have given 5 stars as fun and has its challenges, but a bit pointless if never saves long term as constantly repeating same things. Have tried around 4 times but still can't get to work.

It's a great game my nephew loves it however it's a code not a game card so that took us all by suprise.

I purchased this under the assumption that it was an actual physical game cartridge, not a code in the box download. I reached out to the seller to confirm that it wasn't a code, and they reassured me that it contained the game card. The pictures of this game in the listing are misleading. Buyers beware!

Played 10 hours one day and came back to find the save file corrupted. Tried again and same thing happened. Thought my new PS5 was bogus. Apparently not. It’s the game.
