Great product if you have the patience. Redid the doors in my kitchen and it came out awesome. Best thing is prepping. Use a degreaser and get them really clean. 6 months later, no scratching or chipping. Working awesome!

Used this product on a set of white painted nightstands. They were already rough (intentionally) and had a hand hewn look which I loved. I just wanted them to look like stained wood. Was afraid stripping the paint would take away most of the rustic look so I opted to give this product a try. It was very easy to apply-I used the dark wood. Used an old scrub brush to create graining after each coat. Used a gel stain-applied with a cloth and again used the scrub brush for more texture. Only one coat of stain was needed. Applied a matte poly and they look great. Side note-stain application was darker on one so I just recovered with the product and restained and it worked beautifully. Won’t hesitate to use again.

I'm redoing kitchen cabinets in a rental some cabinets are good others I replaced with unfinished. The existing ones were painted black over the original builders brown/red/oak finish, which I stripped with CitrusStrip. And it works pretty well,.. but you can't get the old to match the new unfinished,.. so the plan was to prime the old with Retique It. I ordered it on Amazon and even signed up for Prime to get it the next day, so I could use it over the weekend. After several days of updates saying it would arrive in this 3 hour time slot,.. it finally arrived 4 days late. I went to use the Retique It today,.. opened it and found about 2" of liquid on top of a solid mass of rubber gunk. Checked AI and it said,.. it's not supposed to come that way,... because it's a little harder to paint on a brick,... AI said it was either defective from the manufacturer or it sat in frozen weather for a period of time during shipping. Regardless,.. the whole thing was a shyteshow. I'm returning it. I'll just use a gel stain on the cabinets and hope the different substrates it's going over don't broadcast through.

I use this on anything I want to look like wood. Usually requires 2 coats for full coverage and I can get 2 projects done with 1 jar. I’ve used all types of stain with it and have gotten excellent results. It dries with a light textured feel similar to bare wood. There isn’t a strong smell. I’d say it’s worth the price.

This liquid wood is very easy to use! It also drys fast and little to no mess or toxic smell!

The before and after is incredible, inwas not expecting it to work that good. I did not use the wood grain for a more modern look and eas skeptical about woking and looking like wood since I did not use the graining tool butI was pleasantly surprised but the result. Still in the process but happy so far. I would suggest going with the bigger container from the beginning. The staining color shows up exacly likw normal, regular wood.

I was so so excited to finally try this paint but this review Would be zero stars if that was an option. The lid was nearly impossible to remove and cracked when we finally got it loose. The entire container was unusable because the wood fiber had solidified and was surrounded by murky tan watery liquid. I even attempted to stir it up hoping it would integrate back in but no luck. It completely solid. I’m going to order directly from the site in hopes that the product isn’t old/expired. Will not order from this seller again on Amazon again.

This is definitely not a product for everyone. The idea and outcome is super cool but it is definitely not the cheapest way to refurbish something. I wanted to see how this product will work for me because I absolutely hate sanding and was hoping it would eliminate that step completely and it did, but the result came just ok. I might just be an amateur when it comes to this product but the price is definitely not worth it for me. I used a brush to apply the product btw.
