Usage level is at 1% up to 2 % of the total liquid weight. Resin should be over 70º F to facilitate mixing. The sanding aid should be over 80º F and still liquid. At temperatures below 70ºF, the sanding aid solution may become cloudy and similar to a “jelly-like” substance. This is normal and the solution will need to be warmed prior to use. Material should be mixed thoroughly while avoiding excessive air entrapment. After the material has cured, it will have a hard, smooth, non-tacky surface; but remember it now has a thin layer of wax which will prevent any secondary bonding. If additional layers of resin and glass are needed, the wax must be removed first by sanding and solvent washing. Then begin reapplication.

Variables that could cause inconsistencies
Product container leaked. Cap was not sealed.Added product to my gelcoat in ratio recommended along with hardener and did not get a sand able surface. Gelcoat remains tacky and unmanageable. Directions were vague and perhaps I did something wrong but I followed the recommendations.
