Low power consumption-good for 'headless' server
This worked out of the box with my old Linux server. It is installed in a 32bit PCI (NOT PCIe- not sure if it would work there-do your due diligence before purchase). I bought it for my server which I usually run without a graphical desktop but there are time you really need a GUI to help sort out problems. This card is ideal as it uses so little power. I tried with a conventional graphics card but it used so much power even though the monitor was off as the server is on 24/7. Good value for money.

Great if you're running DOS only and using a 12 inch monochrome monitor....Perfect for that!
My VGA port broke off at the surface of the Motherboard on my 14-year-old Win 7 HP computer. My fault for failing to cement the port when it became loose. Ordered and received a replacement port. Problem: Removing the solder and broken pens and then performing very delicate resoldering posed too much of a problem and risked damaging/destroying the Motherboard. Needed alternative to save the computer. Eureka!Found a simple PCI/VGA plug-in card, but with virtually no meaningful specs, except that it would fit my PCI and required no driver..... and offered no instructions. Plugged it in. Booted up. Hurrah! Computer saved!Startup image was gross and distorted, so I went to Control Panel to increase the resolution. Guess what....800 x 640! Tried two higher settings options, but no change. Message that chip did NOT support higher. This was the best I could expect.....totally unacceptable!Checked Amazon for others. Many options. Selected one that would equal my 1920 x 1080 monitor resolution. Boxed up this baby and returned to Amazon. I would never have ordered the original if I were stuck with no return policy.Thank you Amazon!!!PS. Many sellers need to provide MORE and HONEST information to reduce the cost and annoyance of RETURNS!

Fairly straight forward. Still working.
XP did not have drivers. Add on drivers not working in XP. Will be looking at Linux OS for this one. Happy with this purchase.

It was the correct video card
When It arrived I opened the protective cover and found the box for the part was labeled wrong. I opened the box and discovered the correct part for my computer that I had ordered from you was the correct video card. Finally, I got my old computer working. Thanks a lot Amazon. John.

Didn't fit my PCIe slot
The adapter works fine for me in a simple file server application but it didn't fit the PCI Express slot I had available so I have to put it in a PCI slot.

Inexpensive VGA card
ATI Rage processor would not run Flight Simulator X

Does NOT work
Plugged the card into my Dell PC's internal PCI slot - the PC does not recognize the attached monitor. I am going to return it. Very disappointing
