Matte Nail Polish, Cabron - Dark Purple

I have a love/hate relationship with nail polish. I love how it looks, but each time I put it on, no matter how much a brand swears to be 'long lasting' and the such, and I follow the 'rules' of a base coat, two coats, top coat, blah blah blah, I'm dealing with chips and a mess within two days. So when I read a review about this brand of nail polish, I was a bit leery. Yet it sounded fun, it looked great, and I figured at least I'd be throwing my money at what seems like a great company if it turned out like those other polishes. Imagine my surprise when I put on a couple of coats, *alone*, as a test run and it's lasted several days so far. The purple color's fun, sometimes more of a dark blue, and there's a great amount of glitter. I think I've even sold a few people on this nail polish, and I know that I'm already trying to decide which color to get next.

The Cabron is the third ManGlaze color I've tried and my favorite by far (others were fuggen ugly and santorum). With the matte finish, it's kinda meh...someone described it like "dirty denim" or something. But a glossy topcoat turns it a really dark purple and the sparkly sh*t comes out. If it's like the Santorum, even with a glossy topcoat, it only turns to something like a semi-gloss, which is more the effect I'm looking for.Someone described this color as dark enough to be manly without the stark contrast of black.The only nitpicks I have. The brush seems smaller and rounder than other brushes, seems harder to spread across the nail. And WOW this stuff dries fast. Using a bit more helps. I dip the brush completely and swipe one side off in the bottle and use the other side for painting. Thats about the right about to get coverage before it dries. It seems that every matte polish has the same issue though.With the Santorum, a clear base coat, two coats of polish and a top coat lasted just a bit over two weeks, with just the tip showing wear. It might have gone longer, but the nails needed to be trimmed.

The color is great goes on easy and dries really fast. .but does not last at all. Starts chipping the first time you wash you hands.

Cabron is such a great color, it's like eggplant, so purple it's almost black, not to mention fabulously matte and long lasting in one step. I love it!
