iPhone 5 (5C & 5S) User's Manual: Tips and Tricks to Unleash the Power of Your Smartphone! (includes iOS 7) Paperback – August 12, 2013

I have had a flip phone for several years but one day I needed to find an ATM and had no way of doing so. I later found out that there was one about two minutes away and I ended up paying A LOT extra to get a few bucks. I went to my AT&T store the next day and added the iPhone 5S to my existing plan. A few days later I got my wife one also. Our lives are changed. These gadgets are amazing. I have never had access to so much immediate information. Fun!

An easy to read manual. However, it contains only brief descriptions of how to use. It takes some experimentation to figure it out.

Do not waste your money on this book - there are many others out there that are much better. First, it is NOT an "User's Manual". It's got a lot of useful info in it, certainly, but a "Manual" it isn't. Here's why: Although it has a Table of Contents, almost all of the listings start with one of three words: "What's", "How", or "Using". You have to read every line to the end to find out what that section of the book is about. Second, there is no Index. An Index is usually found at the back of text books, i.e. manuals or instruction books, where keywords are arranged alphabetically with page numbers where those words appear, so that if you want to know about "Lollipops", the Index will tell you every page where "Lollipops" appears. This book has no Index. And third, the book is written in dreadful prose, in what I can only call "Adolescent-speak" (my apologies to the middle school, high school and college crowd). I presume that's supposed to make the book friendlier, but nevertheless a "User's Manual" is surely isn't.

The book is okay and has helped me somewhat as I am a very new user to smart phones. Nothing against the book but using it on Kindle makes it hard to go back and forth when necessary. The phone also has tips which I didn't realize until I started using the phone.

Thanks for this great helpful I Phone 5C and 5 S book. It is a must book for all new Smart phone users. I would recommend it to any other new Smart phone Senior Dummy like me. Did not take me long after reading the book to learn what I needed to know. It is well illustrated with helpful pictures. A MUST GUIDE for anyone wanting t0 learn and use all offered I phone options. Thanks to author for this great helpful book guide.

This book i brought for my friend, but was not very useful since you neededa computer, there were no instructions for manual operation for getting to know yourphone, for any computer wizard the book was ideal.

It's a terrific book. It had just the "right" amount of info: it clarified various things but didn't give too much info, which can be confusing. I'm so glad I found it on your website. I'm a computer user, but this was my first smart phone.

I've gotten a few good tips from this book, but was surprised to find only two or three tips for improving battery life of my 5s. It's poorly indexed (actually, not indexed); many of the tips are not updated to reflect the new IOS.Using mighty big type in order to increase the page count doesn't increase content.
