Respro Techno mask black X-large Review: Really works well - I have COPD and on oxygen 24 hrs day. I also have really bad allergies. When you combine these two issues together and any one or more of the ozone, particulates, and pollens range into the yellow or higher, I cannot go outside. With this mask and filter I have been able to go outside and walk with no affects of allergies or the weighing down of my lungs from the pollution or ozone. I use this with my oxygen canula without issues. Of course there is more effort to draw air in through the mask than there would be without the mask, but I am hoping it will help to strengthen my lungs more. Great product and great - quick - seller! Review: Correct size confirmed, unusable for cycling: refund refused by Respro - I purchased the Respro Techno Mask with Techno Filter (size XL) specifically for cycling. I carefully followed the sizing guide and, at the company’s request, provided my biometric measurements and photos. Their customer service confirmed that XL was the correct size for me. Despite the correct sizing, the mask was extremely uncomfortable during actual cycling. The rigid metallic nose bridge created strong pressure on my nasal bridge and restricted airflow when riding in a forward-leaning position on the bike. Because the strap sits under the ears, gravity tends to pull the mask downward, which increases pressure even more on the rigid metallic nose bridge and makes the mask uncomfortable to wear. Even when adjusted properly, the mask became painful to wear and difficult to breathe through. I contacted the company and fully cooperated by providing measurements, photos, and trying the adjustments they suggested. Unfortunately, my repeated requests for a return and refund were refused. Eventually I had to resolve the situation through my credit card provider, which ruled in my favor and refunded the purchase after reviewing the documentation. Before purchasing, I recommend that potential buyers take a moment to research broader customer feedback about this brand and product. You can find many detailed experiences from other users online, including on Trustpilot, where the company currently has a very low rating and where multiple customers describe similar issues regarding fit, breathing comfort, and customer service responses. Based on my personal experience with both the product and the handling of the complaint, I would not purchase from this brand again.

Fits like a glove
Fits fabulously, and is comfortable all day long. Just make sure you remember to unscrew the valves, and take out the filter, before you hand-wash the mask itself with a drop of dawn liquid soap. Rinse repeatedly in lukewarm water, then air-dry in a warm, well-ventilated room before you use it for the first time.

REVIEW IN PROGRESS
TO BE UPDATED I have been testing out various masks on and off for the past month, and I have to say I love the utility of this mask. It does a great job of blocking out smells and allergies, and I use it around my friends who smoke and don't "taste" it. Which leads me into a few bad things about this mask. When I use it, my nose is usually blocked up, but breathing through your nose with this mask (regardless the size) seems to be difficult at best. And since it only has a single strap wrapping around your neck, keeping it in place and proper tends to be hit and miss. It is comfortable and after a while of wearing it, the sweat that builds up isn't too noticeable. More to come as I continue testing it.

Overpriced, fog inducing suffocation mask
If it is humid or raining, this thing cause asphyxiation. I noticed it hard to breathe in dry stints as well, enough that it caused a lot of yawning, and a pull over to the side of the road in order to pull the filter. The nose piece is nothing like the one in their foggy mask, which worked well for me in the past. Tried to return, they want you to pay shipping and a re-stocking fee. Price is a bit high but!!!!!!!
I haul coal for a living and when I go to unload I tend to end up breathing in a lot of "dust" in the air... this is an issue weather it's coal or dirt, most dust masks suck into your mouth or nose causing it to be difficult to breath...since beginning to wear this filter system I have been able to breath better both as I work and after... and yes heavy use requires Monthly replacement of filters!

Very good mask and very nice seller. My mask is now with me and I am ready to face the poisonous air back in China : ) I suggest that you consider extend your business there as you may have read the news that the air in major cities of China is polluted. There is a huge demand for masks of good quality and fashionable design.

I am very happy with the mask. The reason I bought it was because it felt like I was doing more harm than good by cycling in London and inhaling the fumes. I also developed a cough which I think started because I started cycling to work on a regular basis. Since using the mask I don't smell car exhaust when in traffic and I don't have a cough. Before buying the mask I had read in other reviews that the masks restricted air flow and were very uncomfortable. While I can't say it's unnoticeable, I don't find wearing the mask a problem and I don't have a problem with breathing. My commute is 40 mins one way and there are a few sizable hills to negotiate. There is some build up of moisture in the mask over the ride but the valves do their job well and you find only a small amount of residue and some dampness in the mask after the ride. For me, wearing a mask while you ride is perhaps not ideal but it is much better than the alternative of inhaling car fumes on a daily basis!

I use these to minimise Hayfever in the summer and for this it is excellent. they are a little pricey, but the build quality is excellent. I bought one in a shop last year and was advised the wrong size.. so this time I took the measurements per the manufacturer (measured top of nose to under chin) and got a good fit. It does restrict airflow a little, but then this is just the nature of physics... I wore it when driving a convertible in the city to reduce the pollution I'm breathing in.. I will say you get some funny looks..

Back to the commute into London on a motorbike through the Blackwall tunnel, no longer need to worry about the fumes during the commute, now if only they would do the replacement filters on a subscribe and save...

You really need to get the right size and fit it properly, the manufacturers web site has a good guide there. You can also buy a rather expensive pro-seal which makes it fit better and easier to breathe with. The mask does make breathing a little bit harder but it's worth it. I would have had trouble with this when I first started cycling ( I was very unfit ) but I bought this after I got a bit fit so it was only a slight problem. Where I cycle, you can taste the fumes, they are horrible, but with this on, I can't taste the fumes anymore. I am very happy with my purchase. The body of the mask is neoprene, so it's a lot softer than it looks. However be aware you need to replace the filters regularly and they are not free, to make a sensible decision you need to factor in the cost of the filters which you will have to replace at least once a month. I dropped a star for the prices involved. I think it's a little bit over the top price wise.
