Great for in-between readers
These books are wonderful for 1st-2nd grade readers or as bedtime readalouds. Winnie is a beloved character in the UK whose antics are akin to Amelia Bedelia, so she fully delights children. There are four short stories in each book so they aren’t as daunting as a chapter book but give kids the same pride to read one cover to cover. There are illustrations every few pages and loads of sound-effect words (eg, boing, swish, gurgle) that my kids love to sound out and laugh about. I bought a few of these on the recommendation from a UK early childhood teacher three years ago and my kids (ages 4, 6, 7) STILL gravitate toward them at least once a week. I’m so thrilled to find the full set available for US purchase!

Collection Box set
There is nothing wrong with the stories. It does not state in the purchase the size of the books or that they are not in color. It would be nice to be upfront with potential purchasers to let them know the size and that the actual stories inside are not in color at all. that was disappointing.

I bought these books for my daughter for Christmas and she loves them. Very enjoyable.Great fast delivery would definitely recommend

Not in color
It doesn’t state the books are black and white. I presume they are in color as their appearances, however, I was totally wrong. I would say the photos they display are kind of misleading.

These books are for my granddaughter who is 4 . These are for her reading studies .
