MarmotWm's Essential Jacket Hardshell Rain Jacke

Wanted something lightweight but wind and rain proof. Goretex is brilliant and does both these things. I'm a size 14 and got the large, it fits well and has seams for a tailored look, very smart. If you needed extra layers for warmth then go a size larger. I could fit a thin fleece under mine if needed. I'm 5"4" and the coat reaches to the top of my knee. The hood is adjustable and hugs your head on windy days, has a slight structure and protect spectacles from light rain. Storm grey a lovely colour, suitable for all seasons. Takes up very little room when packed. Worth every penny.

This is a good quality Gore-Tex jacket which I bought for walks with the dog and it does serve the purpose well. But it is hugely overpriced for what it is - a very simple hardshell jacket without any velcro to keep very long sleeves in place. It has a good length though and it is truly waterproof.

Liked the product but I ordered a size up as recommended and still could only just zip it up. No good if I wore a jumper underneath. Returned under Amazon’s excellent policy and I’ll buy where I can try it on.

This is a simple long rain coat. Runs on the big side- room for sweater or fleece underneath. I do like that it doesn't have velcro (to get covered in lint etc.). Unlined and should last a long time!

Light and packable, GoreTex, fits well and they forgot to mention in the description that it has an adjustable pull cord on the back of the hood so I don't have to use a clothespin to keep it from falling to far forward where I can't see. Yes, I have clothespins on other raincoats and this one I don't have too. Outside pockets that zip and an inside one, designed by people who really get it.

Cold, clammy rubberized material for lining, no alternate closure at placket (snaps or Velcro) in case zipper breaks, no Velcro at cuffs to keep water out, no tie on hood to keep the wind from blowing it off.

I love this rain jacket for the Pacific Northwest. I bought an XL to wear with fleece and layers underneath for colder weather, and a L in the beautiful blue color to wear over street clothes the rest of the year. I lost one on a vacation trip and had to buy another, because I just can't live without them! Adjustable velcro for sleeves; adjustable hood, and a streamlined look and longer length to keep me warm and dry. Love it!
